  1. And while I'm at it, I'd like to vent a bit more. I'm really frustrated that I just saw a commercial tonight for qik! They showed perfect video quality, no lag time, and no mention that the recieving caller has to press a talk button to be heard (thus increasing latency). I think they have some nerve to advertise an app that doesn't really do what they say it does. Again, this is not really video chat but rather a still picture walkie talkie. VERY false advertising if you ask me.

  2. At first I didn't realize that I had to press the talk button. I thought my microphone was broken. I then thought I had an old version and installed it again and re-started my phone. Nope, it's just qik has poor programming, design, and functionality.

  3. I am so disappointed with qik. We got the HTC EVO on 8/29/10 and we were excited to try qik (part of the reason we didn't go with iphone 4). We've been seeing commercials for qik and it looked great. Let me just say…it sucks! This video is a perfect example off why. The picture freezes and the person who was called has to press a talk button. STUPID. I can't even begin to express my disappointment. It's like a fancy walkie-talkie…NOT vide chat!!!

  4. Well seems to work in the second half of the video. The first half seems very bad. But I guess its because of the wireless connection or the protocoll they are using to transmit the video. Audio was good all the way…

  5. there person that receives the video call has to push to talk, and it mutes out the speaker while he is talking. Its not a versioning issues its just the apps difference between making and receiving a call.
