Its an interesting board for development, really like the fact that it has build in NAND and wifi, but the problem is that the processor on it isn't exactly the fastest in the world (even compared to ARM based ones like the Pi and Odroid). I hope that Imagination will release one with one of the newer i6400 and newer PowerVR gpu to really show what they can do with their own products.
Should've used debian on it.
imagine pairing a MIPS cpu with an FPGA wired up as a coprocessor (i.e. accessible with the MIPS coprocessor instructions)
I am really not liking the Ci20. I bought the A+ but the problem I am seeing with the Ci20 is its awkward board design. For example having the USB standing on its side rather then a horizontal configuration. Same for the Micro USB. Why in gods name is it standing up on its end? The other thing I have a problem with is their is no micro SD on the board. But that I can live with out SD is fine. What non of these boards offer is a port for sata drives like those solid state drives. I would love to see that in concert with a lithium Ion battery Perfect size and shape for most small projects. I really only think you need 1 USB port but thats my preference I would love to avoid HDMI all together and replace it with say thunderbolt if thats even possible.
I think you can install play market easily same way as in chinese phones and androind running devices(not tablets or phones)
Android is another version of Linux so if you can run Android on a device why not Linux
Begging your pardon but that OTG port looks a lot more like mini USB than micro USB.
Pretty neat!
Please review Cloudgate Android Computer as well..
I want to setup a tiny media server (I'll attach an external hard drive). It should be able to run for 16-18 hours straight without much slowdown. During the 18 hours, the type of load will vary from light to medium. Would you suggest Ci20 or Pi?
Great review. Thanks for something different. You guys are android authority. Can you please do some reviews on android mini pc's. Set top boxes!
Thumbnail looks like a creeper!
Do you know that you can just flash Gapps from cm11 or download and install google play from google you can find it's apk easilyÂÂÂ
External USB not supported by android? What are you on? I think what you should've said is "not supported by this build/hardware"
*Opens it up, I'm like "cummaaan, why'd you take the board out already" 😛 then he removed the foam 😀
We Dont Really Need It , We Can Get Android On PC , In Just 2 Mins 😛 ÂÂÂ
Loved the video….pls do a faceoff with R pi
Hi,
Can I get inbox iOS?
The benchmarks scores are… Not going to blow me away.
Raspberry Pi is better
Have you tired to install Showbox?
What's the best small board computer like this?
Not entirely sure why you'd run Android when debian is such a good option
A nice toy for Christmas. But i feel it hasn't ripe yet.
Have you tried using an OTG cable for connecting a flash drive?
…and now to drop a brick on it.
Looks amazing but I would wait for android to be perfected.
Fire him
That's mini USB not micro.
