I've been seeing a lot of G4 camera review videos and all of em have the manual mode available even for recording. How is it that it's not available on my G4? What could be the reason? Help. Mine's already running android 7.0 and came from Korea U+ box. Thanks.
3 years later and this camera still has the best dynamic range and data retention of any smartphone except the v30 when shot in raw.. However with the non removable battery the v30 has ill keep my g4 for a while longer 🙂

this phone only has camera going for it yet its processor sucks ass hole and lg needs to just make their own. Stop feeding off snapdragon! samsung changed the game doing so since they noticed overheating and such!
meanwhile Microsoft 640XL has manual mode just like G4 at 200Euro and before G4 even came out…what's the big deal with that 😀

Got the phone yesterday i made a huge upgrade from my huawei y850 (or something like that) i am astonished how much these top of the ranger phones have progressed absolutely please i made the huge leap. Feels good to have a quick phone for once.

Just one correction…. please don't BS people this camera has controls that rival a DSLR. I'd like to see you change one of the most used controls on a DSLR: the aperture! Let's see you choose an aperture where you can get 3 people (at different distances from the camera) all in focus with everything else blurred, or get real background blur on that tiny sensor without having to hold the camera 12" from your subject. The camera has a fixed sensor, so manual mode adds very little. How many people have a handheld colour temperature meter with them to tell them what temp to set the camera at?
The camera in this phone is spectacular for sure, but still a non-event compared to a DSLR.
Upset they don't let us controll the aperture!
So I received my Galaxy S6 on the release day just for the camera and it's amazing especially as I came from the HTC one M7. However after seeing the reviews for the G4s camera in manual mode, I think I might be tempted to trade it in as long as everything else is on par with the S6.

Reading these comments I keep seeing folks say well Nokia, Oppa, this or that had manual mode on there cameras be for, well guess it wasent as good as this cuz who gives a shit! Come on people stop hating or dissing LG they really are pushing hard for 3rd place in the WORLD on the mobile side of smart phones and year after year there bringing some great not good great phones 2 the market. I just bought my G3 but guess what day 1 Sprint Chicago gets the G4 I'll be there 2 buy it out rite this phone is that amazing…
Oppo has had up to 30 seconds exposure, RAW and manual focus for ages 😉
