Is the OnePlus 8 worth an extra $200 over the 7T?

1. Im going form the 6t to the 8.

7. Not a big enough difference to make me wanna upgrade my 7t. But I would definitely go with oneplus over samsung when I do upgrade in the future.

16. I switched from the 7 pro to the 8. Many think I am crazy for doing so. I prefer the lighter weight and slighting narrow body and subdued curved glass vs the 7 pro. Also despite the lower resolution on the 8. It still has a better display overall period. the 1080p with 90htz is more than enough. The 5g in my area is great so its nice to have . But an underrated perk is battery life. It is really good in comparison. I normally can get 2 days before I need to charge up. Overall it's just a better phone to me. The punch hole camera I never notice until its one when I get a video call but other than that . It's not there .

17. I think i'll get the 8 because I really want to get rid of that waterdrop notch. Thought about buying oneplus 7 pro, but 8 seemed to be faster and a bit better on all fronts.

20. Even the Redmi K30 Pro/Poco F2 Pro has a 5MP Macro lens. I don't understand why companies don't put a decent macro lens. Is it too expensive??

23. The difference between 7t and 8's prices in india is roughly 90$ so i think its better to for the 8 if u live in india given that 8 has a newer chip and lasts longer than 7t

24. If it was a flat screen I'd be all over the 8. The notch of the 7T isn't ideal either but the curved edges bug me more.

    Good to know the 7T can still hold its own, though.

27. I'll take the tear drop notch over a hole punch and the flatter display over the curved anyday, I'm hoping the 8T/Pro will change some of these… And get rid of that gimmicky color filter camera

31. Man is it really only $200 difference in the US? The OnePlus 8 is 1099 in Canada and it's out of stock anyways so you have to pay $1249 for the 256gb version. The 7t is 669 in Canada which is almost $400 less than the 8 but that is out of stock too so you can't even get it. For reference I can buy a s20 for 1300. So 50 away from a op8. The pricing in Canada is f*cked. May as well stay with Samsung.

32. Got OnePlus 8 through a deal with t mobile, only paying $350 for the phone. This model has ip68 rating and I downloaded gcam mod for taking photos.

34. The 7T round camera housing is actually what attracted me. I find it a lot more unique than the slim long design most phone comes with.

    The difference between 7T and 8 is very less when compared in Indian prices.

    Don't listen to any YouTuber or your friends, just buy which phone you like.

42. Only reason I'll buy another OnePlus phone is if they make a smaller, budget version. Their phones are just dumb big.
