  1. getting rid of my HTC one v…..damn thing keeps freezing up and now the speaker has gone to crap….this phone will not hold up to every day use..it's junk..my SIM card is going back into my LG optimus..cameras not as good but I NEED A PHONE THAT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I like it pretty well for the price. $140 for use with no contract at Virgin (35/mo unlimited data and text). Cyber Monday these were $89! 3 days after my 30 day trial period. Grrr. Don't get it unless you are willing to root it and have fun tweaking. Otherwise, too slow locked/ stock. Camera is sub-par, my old droid incred much better resolution. Bottom line, if you have the means, get a better phone but if this is in your budget and you plan to unlock, you'll be hard pressed to do much better.

  3. Get this phone now at Amazon for only $49.99 or from Virgin Mobile. I was able to get 2 for my household today. Buy soon before the sale ends.

  4. FINALLY someone who isnt CONSTANTLY comparing it to the One X, One X is a whole other class of smartphones and makes this phone look like junk due tthe couple hundred dollar price difference. I liked this video because you show the specs how it is! Your one of the few reviewers i can fully trust. Thank you

  5. i found a site where you can get a bunch of modern 50% phones ( including the one v ) for 24 months!!!! And yes, it is legal 😉

  6. Because Samsung wants to promote the latest phones rather than letting you keep your old ones. Marketing strategy.

  7. I saw some other reviews/hands-on/unboxing with the standard lock icons (Phone,Mail,Music,Camera). But are the icons changeable? And how do you do that?

  8. Little tip. If you wash your hands with Dawn before you review your phones, you wouldn't get finger smudges all over the screen. The Dawn removed the natural oil from your hands and fingers and you won't get smudges on screen. Try it and let me know what you think.

  9. This is like the love child of the desire and legend, with the power from the desire and the brilliantly designed legend, its a shame about the internal storage, but itsmome of the only ways this can be defined as being the entry level, although I have to say the 2 lower end devices the s and this v seem like they have a more premium feel being unibody metal.

  10. Absolutely useless POS. It would have been a good entry level phone but for that kind of internal storage in 2012, it's pretty much a useless phone. This reminds me of my Nexus One with such limited internal storage, I pretty much couldn't use the darned thing after just a short time because a lot of apps will only install on the internal storage.
I hope people realize this and avoid this POS phone.

  11. samsung has said their selfs that it is easier to make a new device with ics than upgrade an older model. Simply put they can but they dont want to waste resources on an old device
