Google’s taken a page out of other manufacturers’ playbooks when it comes to home screens in Android 4.4 KitKat. You now can easily long-press and drag to rearrange home screens.

  1. So how did you bring up the screen from which you can manage panels? You seem to make that happen without explaining how to get there.

  2. but you can't change the main homescreen, can you? so that, let's say, the middle one is the main homescreen instead of the left one.

  3. Nice Video, I just got a Nexus 5 on 4.4 and didn't know this was possible.

However is it possible to set the MAIN/PRIMARY home screen?
The one it will jump to when you press Home from any home screen?

  4. This probably isn't running on a phone and it's definitely not just a skin/launcher. If it was just a skin then this informational video wouldn't be very informational.

  5. All these things are fine, dear Google, how about making a media/video player that will knock all the others out of the game? We all know that android lacks one. It must be lite as hell, all codec support with sub search, imdb plugin, 4k playback, multi platform support, dolby dts support, like vlc but better,

  6. I really don't think this was kitkat running on this phone, I mean look at the soft keys, they're not transparent. I think it's just a skin/launcher.

  7. not sure about that..the note 2 had screen recording on a update that was coming and didnt make to official release due to some copyright thing or something… theres apps that screen record but theres nothing like built in features thats simple and clean… i think he using something that mirrors it to his computer

  8. Want to rearrange home screens in Android 4.4 KitKat? No problem. Long-press the home screen, long-press the screen you want to move, then drag and drop.

Yes, just like other launchers from other manufacturers have been doing for quite some time. :p
