Though Tshaka spent more time with the Pixel 6 Pro, he also put in some time with the Pixel 6 and tested everything, then distilled all the results down into this review. Tensor, Real Tone, Live translator, Super Res Zoom and so much more examined and analyzed! There was A LOT to get through and still keep the run time on this video manageable for you, so he didn’t do a spec dump, instead focusing on the analysis of his (and the team’s) tests of the hardware, and relaying his and the team’s end user experiences. For a full look at the spec numbers, you can check out Android Central’s coverage on site, here:

While the Pixel 6 was provided by Google for the purpose of this review, Tshaka was given the 6 Pro as a #giftfromgoogle for being a member of the #teampixel program. Tshaka had this to say about that, “a $1000 gift from Google is not worth me compromising myself. I love tech and I love what I do, but not at the expense of my integrity. My opinions on this device aren’t colored by what I receive and if ever I have a strong enough negative opinion of something that I feel might jeopardize my relationship with Team Pixel, please know Imma say it. Irregardless. Yes, I said ‘irregardless.’ Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.

  1. U say Pixels 10x pics beats note 20 ultras optical 10x? Hard to believe any android central reviews after seeing this video with so much pixel bias examples. U sound like a Google pixel employee.

  2. Big dog Armstrong in the house 🙌🏾 this was such a great and informative review. So thorough

  3. Just started my watching all of the Pixel 6 reviews and I've a feeling this review will be the only one with this much personality. Very informative and answered a lot of my questions with the camera as well.

  4. Am I the only who noticed the huge downgrade in the first video he showed between pixel 6 and 5! The camera quality is a major downfall!

  5. With all the vague lingo and the wildly inconsistent reviews for this phone, I'm getting flashbacks to when I got suckered into the S20 Ultra hype. Like Celine Dione, it's all coming back to me now. Gaudy megapixel count, but performance that was outclassed by a 12 mp shooter. In display fingerprint reader, but good luck trying to use it with anything less than a $50 UV-glued on screen protector. Sub-par video that also lost to a 12 mp phone.

I think I'll pass and wait for the inevitable Pixel 6 Turbo that fixes all the bugs, gives back the physical fingerprint scanner, and adds 4 new characters.

  6. I'm glad you're comparing the photo/video stuff to the Pixel 5, because that's what I have right now. My 6 Pro will be here Thursday!

I'm a bit bummed, though… I just did an Alaskan cruise, and REALLY would have liked having the 6 Pro!

  7. First time I watched a review from you Mr. Armstrong, you're positive, cheerful and very entertaining to watch while maintaining a good balance between geekness and every day usage/observations.

  8. That's if you even can get this POS. I PRE-ORDERED and just got an update that my order won't ship now until sometime between 11/1-11/08. It was supposed to ship today

Shame on me for thinking that Google could have a smooth phone rollout!

  9. Man, when someone who knows android does an Android review it so precise, so informative. Especially this macro info. I was wondering why no one tried.
    Top notch stuff. 🤜🤛

  10. As nice as this is it feels like it’s on Beta still well what’s one more year for pixel 7

  11. I mean i think everyones phone of choice would be the better phone, the pro. But realistically there is not much difference in them so the price point makes the 6 the better option

  12. One of the best reviews out here! engaging and full of real world user experience! I was getting tired of seeing videos rehashing and repeating the features that Google themselves already covered during the event. Kudos Tshaka!

  13. Shruti so blown away she forgot her own Hindi 😀🙌🏽

  14. Man this dude is awesome. Great personality and style. Loved the video.

As for the Pixel I. Just bummed out that after blaming Qualcomm so many years for their lack of long term OS updates like Apple does, it's now clear it was all BS. They just don't want to support their mobiles long term. Part of me also wonders if it's because the Tensor chip is actually a rebranded Samsung chip, and a old one at that. Most of.the ARM CPUs in there are a.couple.of.years old already. Perhaps that's why they can't do 5 years of OS updates?
