    Maybe they should consider making a consumer orientated conference aside from the developer conference? That way the devs don't get bothered by the journalists and vice versa.
    And that way all the consumers don't get their hopes up for no reason.

    Many people forget that Google I/O is a conference by developers for developers. This means that, while I/O is plenty of fun, it's also a place where the elite of the development world talks business.
