  1. while FE is decent, I hate Samsung's UI. I am a current 6T user, tho. FE has almost 0 development and no ability to unlock the bootloader yet (US version of SD). It also has less ram than 8T. Sure, 8T's cam is not king, but people are getting Gcam mod on it and are achieving decent results. I was looking into FE when T-mo was running a deal on it (could've traded my 6T and get it for free), but I just can't commit to Samsung and what comes with it. T-mo is currently running a "free" deal on 8T if you trade in a 7T or S9, so I grabbed an s9 from ebay for $200 and going to use it to get 8T. Not a bad deal in my books.

  2. The OP8t maximum brightness is over 800 nits, while the S20 FE is just south of 700. So you definitely got that part wrong.
As for the ultrawide cameras, both have 123° ultrawide sensors. So they should be the same in that aspect

  3. My ☁️ red FE wins the day for me. Better cameras, micro s/d support, DEX. Plus the price, it's just a better equipped phone! I've read touch screen issues? I've had none whatsoever! I believe these phones are selling like 🥞 cakes?

  4. Great video! I've used the galaxy line of phones since they came out. Recently upgraded to a s20 5g from my ole reliable note 9. Unfortunately had issues with the s20 software wise. I was left with the choice upon returning it between s20fe or op8t. Went with the op8t, and it is FANTASTIC. I love it. Faster fingerprint unlock then the s20 I used briefly, I honestly feel it's faster. I couldn't be happier and believe me, I am a samsung "fanboy" all the way.

  5. one plus 8t is on promo at tmobile right now. you can trade in a s9 that currently costs around 250 on amazon and get a free one plus 8t. this will save you around 500 bucks! the sales rep at tmobile told me about this the promo when I told him I wanted to buy a note 20 ultra. I am thankful for his honesty as he just saved me around 1000 bucks more that I would have had to pay if I got the note 20 ultra which totals at 1400$. surprisingly the one plus 8t matches or surpasses the note 20 ultra in some benchmark tests and real time tests.

  6. Bought my OnePlus 8T for £449, can't get much more phone for that price, fuck Samsung (Came from years of having the latest Samsung BTW)

  7. It’s not even a contest.. 😒 objectively, the s20 fe is better or same in every way apart from plastic 🤷‍♂️ which is subjectively worse

  8. Disregarding performance, after current updates which device front & rear cameras are considered ahead than the other in terms of colour reproduction, sharpness, contrast, dynamic range, stabilization, wider selfie, low light and audio recording?

  9. Watched and read a bunch of these comparison reviews and went for the 8T in the end because of the 2GB extra RAM, warp charging and the Snapdragon. Samsung's batteries have died on me at 1,5 years of use once too often, and I, for one, HATE all the Samsung bloatware. Prices are totally different here in NL too.

  10. Watching and re-watching video comparisons of the 8T vs the Galaxy S20 FE (which is perhaps its nearest rival in specs and price range) i found the 8T's white balance is off, inferior (low bitrate/muffled/mono sounding) audio recording on video, poor dynamic range in Night Mode (main), zero Night Mode in selfie camera, micro jitters in video (all main cameras), least detailed portrait shots and darker selfies in low light. I know it was a mouthful but was i correct in my assessments? Have OnePlus fixed some of these issues? Or do they still persists?

  11. I am from iraq l bought S20 FE over oneplus 8t because of wireless charging ,IP68 and better camera but honestly l regret buying it the phone overheat so fast and sometimes l experienced some lags i think it’s due to shitty exynos 990 l can live without wireless charging and IP 68 but l can’t with overheating and lags so l am planning to trade my phone to OP 8t ,beside camera on S20 FE is really good

  12. Its a no brainer to choose the s20FE if you live in the US.But here in India, the oneplus 8t is more or less similar to the price(the price is constantly fluctuating)of the s20FE,it also has the better chip cuz we get the exynos version here

  13. I already do compare oneplus 8t and samsung galaxy 20fe, for me if wan build quality and performance just go for oneplus if wireless charging matter(samsung just give 15 wat only not 25..and I nead add on for 25 wath charge it not worth it..)in my country official oneplus 8t $550 ,samsung galaxy 20fe $689 💢💢😅😭😭 for save money I go for oneplus rather than samsung ,that extra money with glastic back no handphone case and 25 wath charger(add on $40 more) for me it not worth my money…(now nead saving more than spend more..)….I only care performance than camera..if samsung include case and 25wath charger in the box it will be game changer😂😂

  14. $700 is not a budget I just paid $650 that included tax for the 8T today cuz I needed a new phone and I thought that was ridiculous I mean I know stuff ain't free but I'm cheap I like a deal at least i didn't pay full price but I would have waited till it was $400 if I could

  15. Actually, I chose the OnePlus 8T over the Samsung. I really feel the build quality on the one plus was far better than the Samsung. When I went to the phone store and held the Samsung in my hand it really felt like a cheap plastic $200 phone in my opinion. They both have a lot of great features I think it's really going to depend on the individual. Although, the OnePlus 8 series has something that the Samsung phones do not have and nobody seems to be talking about. The OnePlus 8 series features dual SIM card ability and allows you to have two phone numbers on the same phone. For somebody like myself that is a big deal. I can consolidate and no longer have to carry around two phones with me. That is really a feature that Samsung and other manufacturers really need to address with their us versions.
