Ok do I need a smart tv and will this work with my LG optimus f3
is there support for the chromebooks?
Yes. Any android device
I was imagining it to be a wireless stream of your desktop or mobile device.. similar to plugging it in via HDMI but instead it does nothing but stream youtube, netflix, and google movies….all of which are not only built into my TV already, are also on my PS3, and my laptop already connected to the monitor….besides that i have Xfinities fastest internet, and the stream is choppy and complete ass..if this was anymore more then $35 i would be extremely disappointed.
I ordered the chromecast maybe the second day it came out via Amazon.. it took 2 months just to come in, on back order apparently.. ok whatever shit happens… i got it this after noon and i have had nothing but trouble with it.. i had to "factory reset" the device almost 5 minutes after plugging it in. Also on a laptop, the only supported browser is google chrome, which i don't use and would rather not use.. i suppose i didn't research much about it but it just does nothing worth while.
Just got mine today…works great!
Will it still be working if I turn the phone screen off?
So much more simplified for the end user. Roku is something I've been using for over 2 years but this is just more appealing. Once HBO GO jumps on board & other applications join in, it's a steal for Google.
What camera are you using?
i'd say give the chromecast some more time and pretty soon a lot of other apps will be available
I am sorta tempted, it has a good price point but my apple tv does all this and more. If I could run apps on the chrome cast I would be sold.
Have to say though google has the right idea just needs a lot more support.
Anyone know if the chrome browser is fully browser supported or is it capable of only showing music, pictures and video?
It'd be cool if the ChromeCast displayed Google Now info by default. I don't use my TV as a TV, so all it does is display my ChromeCast.
Your attempt to talk shit is notable. However, due to the fact that you did it in all caps we will simply pull your intelligence card and just consider you an idiot.
SOUNDS LIKE A NEW REASON TO BE FUCKING LAZY AMERICA FUCKING BUMS LOL TO LAZY ENJOY YOUR SHEEP ZOMBIE GEAR
guest account wallpaper
i have a pc for all that
ready to cast: I yell at the tv MAGIC MISSILE! XD
Nope, only Android 4(Ice cream sandwich) and higher
Ok I'm intrested. But I've got an older than dirt android gingerbread does it work with that too?
How does it impact battery life on the Nexus 7?
MLS Soccer! Which team do you follow?
I wasn't aware. i thought the q was only audio connections
What do you mean output? It would have had to have output. How else would you have gotten content on a TV? Magic?
did Q have video output?
The price point.
check out unbox therapys first look on it. He shows, briefly, the chrome browser. There is about an half second lag but still looks good.
samsung does this already with galaxy s2 andorid 4.2. and i have the chromemote extension. am i missing something?
You're absolutely right Jeremy but AirPlay is something all together different. Has a little bit of everything else with wireless, Bluetooth and Network Accessibility to play, share and download and play content.
UNIVERSAL solution, Apple didn't invent screen mirroring
wow im just gonna buy like 8 of these and put one on every tv in my house- wonder if i could plug one into a audio receiver's hdmi hmmm…
Yeah, but only at half the price and works across all devices (android and IOS).
TIESTO YEAHHHH
You lucky dog 🙂
Got mine today this walkthrough didn't help at all coz it was so simple though nice walkthrough regardless!
Finally a AppleTV rip! Even has AirPlay
Haha, the room is alive.
THE NEW NEXUS Q!!!
@ the fashizy you most likely have a 1080p out put so the hd content in the play store should be up to that and therefore the hd tv will display it as full hd as it is in a hdmi port 🙂 (i hope anyways)
The you tune app has had this for a while but for the ps3 as well as netflicks but its nice to see they baked it into the os 🙂
Was hoping he'd play a Google Play video. I wanted to see how good or NOT good the movies look. Like how SD vs HD looks.
exactly what I was thinking lol
