  1. Could you please answer a question for me I need to know can the Belkin Miracst be connected to my windows 10 that doesn't have Miracast installed though I have USB ports and I want to connect to my smart TV which will have HDMI ports. Will this device, give me a mirror of my computer with picture and sound it would be a great help to know what is needed to accomplish my quest

  2. Miracast tech is much better. Chromecast you need internet acess . Miracast you dont. But you can't turn off your screen and have the content play as you can with chromecast

  3. Is there any devices that actually casts (like the Chromecast), not screen mirroring. Any other devices similar to Chromecast where you can just click cast, and it transfers to the TV. Not screen mirroring !

  4. Hey Keven, I want to use the Belkin device as my chromecast is so restrictive and will not display many of the apps I am running on my HP laptop. Currently I have my laptop pluged into my TV/Monitor via an HDMI cable. If I buy the Belkin and close the lid on my laptop will it stop displaying? I do this with my HDMI pluged in and the display on the Monitor does not go out and I can continue to see my desktop and open apps etc. I just want to know before I buy the Belkin device that it will work similar to the way my HDMI cable is working now. I dont want to have to keep my laptop screen open and lit up while watching a movie. Thanks.

  5. 4:07 WTF does your internet service provider have to do with wireless communication between your two local devices? You may as well have said "I have tinted windows on my car and even that didn't help my performance." :-/

  6. Sometimes I m in a field with a projector and an Android phone and I need to play a video. Which one would work better if there is no internet access?

  7. You failed to mention that you MUST have a wifi network (connection to the internet) to use Chromecast. You need no connection to the internet to use any Miracast device. This is HUGE to people that only have cell data at their disposal.

  8. Does anyone know a chromecast alternative/fix to stream to tv without the dongle having to connect to wifi?
My dorm's wifi has a form login system so my chromecast couldn't login. It's pretty much garbage right now

  9. Grt video mate, one question though, if it mirrors ur mobile then what happens when u mirror a 1080 video from 720p or less mobile to an fullhd 1080p tv

  10. Hi, EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!
Is the Belkin Screen Cast compatible with LG STYLO 3 Smartphone?
It sucks MHL isn't supported on 2017 Smartphones. My Rocketfish MHL worked on Samsung Note 3, but not on LG STYLO 3.

I HOPE THE BELKIN SCREEN CAST WORKS!!

    Thank you 😀

  11. Host screen must be on the whole time on the Belkin. That's a big deal. Also what changed with the Belkin Miracast V2 firmware?

  12. would this work with a non mhl equipped phone? i have the samsung galaxy j3 (2016) and am not having any luck finding a way to watch movies etc from device to HDTV. please help!! ty

  13. has the world gone mad ?? your actually purchasing nothing … absoloutly every person on the planet can do this and a heck of a lot more by using a simple hdmi lead …. they will probabjy take this comment down cos its so damn simple to do hdmi out from your pc to hdmi in on your tv …. DONE they are trying to sell your tv as a monitor with the added gimmick of streaming …. think about it , your pc is the brain, the hdmi lead renders your tv as the new monitor …. DONE obviously you can stream , because that is what you were already doing, before they confused the issue , to sell it to you !!, The thing you had for free before this nonsense !!!!! … get a five pound hdmi lead mine was a cheapy for a pound and works all day every day …. HOW TO DO IT …. " plug it "OUT" from your hdmi "OUT" on the pc tablet (whatever device that your already streaming from ETC.) ,… INTO your hdmi "IN" on the back of yours and all hd tv's , and start doing all the things and so much more that Chromecast ,.. Belkin Miracast and same scams are doing forever for nothing ,.. because its free ,.. it was free anyway ,.. before they CONfused everyone ,.. I ll see how long this true and free statement stays up ,.. you are actually buying nothing that you already had ,. before,.. and one hdmi lead proves it.

  14. I didn't see a mention of how chrome-cast relies on wifi-internet connection to broadcast and the belkin doesn't. That is HUGE in my book.

  15. I'm not unfamiliar with setup applications but I'm no expert and I know if someone doesn't do everything just right that can make setting up worse,SO that leads me to ask the question Why Do So Many of These People Talk Like The're At The Indianapolis 500? Why do the instructions look exactly like everyone else with no new or further information Like if your computer isn't connect to wifi What Then?

  16. I have the Alcatel Idol 3S which has Miracast aka WiFi display so basically what it does is it takes the image from your phone and displays it to your Blue Ray Player or smart TV. Google Chromecast requires home internet which I do not have.
