The update to last year’s affordable ASUS Zenwatch brings a smaller companion and a slightly different design. This is the ASUS Zenwatch 2.

  1. Hi, have u tried pairing it with dual-sim phone? in case of replying the SMS using zenwatch (for example using voice command), was the message automatically replied via the same sim card as it was sent to?

  2. +Dane Reid Its not thicker because of any trend. ASUS would do anything to make it thinner. It's thick for the most obvious reason in the world: ASUS wanted longer battery life. They even put out some marketing material during development that they were shooting for week long battery life. Then the reality hit that they were never going to make it. So to save face, they simply have the biggest battery they can fit in the thing; a 400 mAh monster of a battery. My Gear S with a 2 inch screen only has a 300. THATS why its thick. No other reason

  3. The first Zenwatch was perfect from a fit perspective. Why make it thicker? Is the hardware that much better to justify this? And why the button on the side? I am very much against physical buttons on smart watches. All we need are capacitive buttons.

All I wanted out of the Zenwatch was a better step counter and heartbeat sensor.

I think I'll just be keeping my Zenwatch for a little while longer. I'll just wait for a Zenwatch 3 or another watch that strikes my fancy as much as this the first Zenwatch.

  4. Not sure what I should do should I buy the zenwatch now or wait to buy the zenwatch 2? Don't seem to be much different

  5. Just one thing I don't like about it. Definitely the thick bezel. I'm not impressed with its design as well as the strap. I prefer Blocks Modular Smartwatch. The design, quality and overall performance are great. Hope I can get one soon.
