  1. I connected my chromecast using usb port from my t.v. I thought the chromecast turns off when i turn off my t.v. But why it's still turn on andl having that white light. And it's always hot every time i touch it. Even when i am not using it?

  2. help! I love the chromecast has worked perfect since I got it 3 months ago now all of a sudden it wont charge fully. I have disconnected all waited a awhile and still after I push the button on it turns red faster till the blue light comes on but now the blue light is faint and blink on and off so I guess its quit on me now? I live where I have free wifi all my other devices work find?

  3. my chromecast hasnt burned out as of yet….but its gets to damn hot. it seems inevitable. i may just go with the amazon fire stick. i hear that its better anyway.

  4. I'd like a feature as to when you finish with what you'd watching and you want to go back to your usual tv channel, that the chrome cast turns itself of, or stand by. I've an lg tv and when I use its own cast feature, then go want to go back to normal tv if shuts itself down.

  5. Mine is connected to the rear of my receiver but it is powered from the TV, so it is only powered when the TV is on.

  6. I used my Chromecast for 10 months without unpugging it. It worked just fine then one day it overheated and burned itself out. I unplugged it and let it cool off for a few minutes, unfortunately that didn't work. The Chromecast app for my tablet, laptop and phone indicate it can't find the device.

  7. mine melted!!! you owe me one!!!!
just kidding i just got it yestarday and have so many questions like what does button on the back do?

  8. Not all TVs have powerd USB ports and many that are just a couple years old don't have any at all so yea, not necessarily gonna work that way.

  9. You don't need to is the Chromecast is getting it's power from the TV's USB port. It will turn off when the TV turns off.

  10. You don't have to plug it in. You just leave it in all the time and have the power come from the USB port on the TV so when you turn off your TV, it turns off the Chromecast too.

  11. There is difference on how the Chromecast dongle behaves depending on how it's getting it's power. If the power is coming from a USB port on your TV, the dongle turns off when you turn off your TV. If the power is coming from an electrical outlet, it will stay on even when the TV if off. I have the power coming from the USB port because the light from the dongle bothered me in my bedroom at night.

  12. I hate Google cuz they sell awesome devices but we have to wait almost 2 month to put the hands on. unlike apple they have their store so its never a problem to buy a product
