google should just full blown copy ios gestures. i got no problem with copying if its something good
IMO they should make it like in iOS.
The side menu is available only in if you're in the main home of the app. Apps like Discord should never use the back button/swipe for example.

I like it but why not make it so that: a swipe up is home, swipe and hold is for recents, swipe from 1 corner to go back and swipe from the other corner for the assistant. And that way you could still easily use menus that you swipe from the side.

Quite like the back swipe from the right hand side, Honor just implemented it for Oreo/EMUI. Only app I had to adjust was Gmail.

As a note8 owner i have no idea why i am here….
I hope when the Q custom ROMs come out, these corners will be remappable to something useful like turning off the screen or entering the split screen mode. Google Assistant is useless anyway.
This gesture fiasco shows creative bankruptcy in the industry, or in Google at least.
