Android P sucks. The bezels are too small on the Pixel 2 XL, and the back button has a huge trigger area, so I can't type without touching the back button a million times.
Is this Dp4 works for OnePlus 6
wallpaper on pixel2 xl??
I have uploaded the DP$ on my Nokia 7 Plus .. I am trying to remove the google search bar but no action seem to happen. This is the 1st beta I have downloaded on my device. Also I see the battery drain is quite fast. Any fix for the google search bar?
And the loud background music is to achieve what? Not to sell phones, for sure.
nooo i can't have a nav bar surprisingly that 1 cm on the bottom is really annoying
That's probably the first time I would pick something like MIUI 10, or Oxygen OS over stock Andorid. Andorid P looks like a cheap iOS rip-off. Of course, the fast performance and updates are the major pros here, but the look and feel to it is just cheap. Check out MIUI 10 on Xiaomi flagships, the interface looks modern. Yes, the animations are copied from the iPhone X, but in a great way. Android needs a major re-design to compete with the new iPhones.
If the dark theme applied to everything, it would have been really nice
Can you finally use nfc with this build with Google pay
they desperately need to change the app switcher animation, doesn't match with the os and looks very clunky
not a fan whatsoever
To all the crybabies who don't like this-or-that; How about a suggestion on what would be better? Or at least how to improve it?
You people sound like toddlers.
Android is copying from Samsung. Well, it's about time.
My notification shade (quick
This is a amazing nice
OS wide dark theme please!? Just switch that dark themes everything, nothing more complicated and I'd be thrilled get that update.
Wallpaper on the 2xl please?
Get rid of/auto hide the damn nav buttons /area all together. Like the option Samsung, huawei and so on have.
Who else can't keep a straight face when he says Android pee?
This safe for daily?
Android P looks like shit
That dark mode… Android 4.0, anyone?
I still prefer the traditional nav buttons. I keep trying the gesture based bar but it's just not as fast and intuitive as the traditional navbar. And the fact is I can already use apps to hide the navbar, and use gestures and have done so off and on with my android devices since 2012. I've even used them on my 2XL but I always end up going back to the good ole tried and true 3 button navbar.
I also find the new recent apps to be a step backwards from the old one. I've used Android P for over 2 months now as my DD on my 2XL and overall I like it but there is a lot of refining to do. They really have seemed to change some things just for the sake of change rather than for the sake of making the OS better.
I agree with you the dark theme needs work. I personally only use the dark theme and have always used solid black wallpapers on my devices for many years so I hope eventually we get a more system wide dark theme. I like the slight transparency of the dark theme in Oreo so I hope they do they same in P.
Is it Android Patreon? It seriously looks like the Patreon logo haha
we can't dreaming about android P .. still waiting for Oreo in my Note 8.. and how long have to wait??? in South Asia
Android P stands for Piece of Sh*t. This is just a cosmetic update that doesn't seem to actually improve android in any way, shape, or form.
Is it just me but it's it new in the app tray in the second bar from the top I have my most used person I text and call?
Looks good, hopefully Google will implement something to allow most devices to upgrade regardless of the manufacturer
the quick settings icons are still hideous
The notification shade (quick settings) is sooooooooo ugly & why have gestures if the screen real estate isn't improved ? Why not just add pie controls like lmt launcher ?? Ugh
Nice!!
The always on screen now includes the weather for me. It's a nice touch to have weather at a glance
They gotta get rid of the back button and make it a swipe left with the pill, it would make it sooooooo much better as it would be a true gesture based UI instead of the half baked thing they have going now.
The text selection is still working for me in the overview menu
When I put the build 3 on My phone the screen now looks bad.
iPhone 5S is getting iOS 12 support. Android has something to learn from Apple here.
