  1. Must plug in a USB?  Why?  My phone already connects automatically via bluetooth!!!

  2. All I want is Chromecast for my car and the ability to push navigation/maps just as I can with other apps. The car should have its own network or give us the ability to plug n' mirror, it would be the perfect solution.

  3. Is it at all possible to get Android Auto working with the iPhone? I feel like you could make an iOS app to pull info from the phone and make it work with Auto. That would be pretty sick.

  4. Really looking forward to both CarPlay and Android Auto. Might get the Parrot RNB6 headunit when it comes out (Runs Android 5.0 as it's OS and supports CarPlay and Android Auto. CarPlay for me and Android Auto so (i can make) my Android friends try it out :D)

  5. Wait a minute, so you can't start a voice command by saying ”ok google"? You have to touch a button each time?? That's kind of backwards

  6. I like the direction Hyundai is going with the Android integration, but will it connect to an App Store that will allow me to change/replace an app? Is their $350p/year Blue Link service mandatory? Will it have an SD slot?

  7. @***** is android auto going to be something that can be purchased and fitted to any car in the aftermarket segmant? In the same way that we've installed head units for years.

  8. I tried plugging in my Nexus 6 at this display and Android Auto popped up on my phone. But then Google Play Services immediately Force Closed. Same thing happened to another guy with a Nexus 5.

Looks like we will have an update on our phones before they can work with Android Auto cars.

We’ve already seen Hyundai’s BlueLink app for Android Wear, which lets you interact with your car from anywhere in the world, but now we’ve caught up with the Korean company to check out its Android Auto system.

  10. Out of all manufacturers this is a great oppurtunity for sony to take over this market, they can install a modern soc with a 1 gig of ram and at least a glass ips panel for god sake its 2015 they still use cheap plastic tft screens,i dont get why pioneer alpine and especially sony cant modernize the car audio system

  11. Even tho Hyundai is doing this thing, their cars are not so good. This is a fundamental problem. And I bet other car makers are about to adapt this to their ecosystem soon.

  12. I swear… The amount of times my unit in bmw has driven me mad and i just think i wish it was like my google now on xperia. And this is exactly that. But i doubt bmw will ensorse android any time soon. Hope im wrong. I drive is great dont get me wrong, but its just sometimes all those menus while driving isn't great with their voice control.
