This is our first look at the Alcaltel Go Watch, unveiled at IFA 2015 in Berlin, Germany! The Go Watch runs on Alcatel’s own software instead of Android Wear but is compatible with both Android and IOS. You’ll get notifications about SMS, phone calls, weather and emails. This watch is meant to be hardy and it waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. Additionally it’s very customizable with changeable front casing and watch band. It’s 1.22 IPS display with 240 x 204 resolution. A neat feature shows up when you press the Go button, you’ll get an emotion pulse measurement. A graphic is created based upon input from the gyroscope, accelerometer and heart rate monitor, and you’ll be able to share these pulse measurements on social media or set it as the background on the Go Watch. Alcatal is claiming a 2-5 day battery life with a 225Mah battery, and charges via microusb. There isn’t any news yet on pricing or availability yet though.

  1. What's wrong with everyone? Don't like it, get something else. To me it looks like a Casio Illuminator digital watch, which I like. Everything will be interchangeable, all black would probably look better. Only downside to me is no Android Wear or sunlight readable solution. Looks like I'm going with Pebble Time after all!

  2. I think maybe everyone is right, this is the smart watch that parents are going to buy their kids. I can't see anyone over 16 wanting to wear this thing but if they lower the price to maybe $89 then parents may buy them.

  3. Sweet fucking Jesus what the hell is that. Is it April fools already? As for pricing it'll be about €5 after Alcatel dump all their unsold stock along with the lifeless body of the exec who thought this was a good idea.

At least they can try and cash in on a wave of seventies Star Wars merchandising on the back of the new movie because it looks like an LCD game from that era. Keep it classy Alcatel.

  4. To be completely honest, on different social networks I saw a picture of this popping up, I saw the thumbnail to this video and I just thought what the heck I'll go ahead and see what this is all about because really I thought this was a joke. Apparently this is something that Alcatel really thinks some people are going to want, what in the world are you going to wear this with?
