1. I assume there are a lot of self-correcting processes within the American political systems. Can you educate us on what are the self-correcting systems for the Judicial branch? I know the different branches act as checks and balances for the other branches. How would the Legislative and Executive Branches check and balance the Judicial Branch? What about self-correcting systems within the Judicial Branch? It seems like the Supreme Court Justices are the untouchables that are above the law from all these current developments. What are the ways to keep them accountable?
   I also heard that the credibility of the court relies on the faith and obedience of the people. Are there a democratic way for the people to force accountability of the Supreme Court Justices?

15. Alito’s letter to Congress is quite surprising. If he wanted to respond to the exposure of his treason, he could have done so briefly, and he’d have opened fewer questions. Not sure he’s such a sharp lawyer.

18. What we have is a SCOTUS not elected by anyone, running the country and declaring Trump as the only legitimate leader. 23. It's obvious that the justices don't care and they aren't changing any time soon. They won't recuse themselves on anything across the maga court world…so we're screwed.

Using the separation of powers doctrine as a shield to protect yourself from any inquisition of your conduct is in itself a violation of the doctrine because it is one of the pillars of state effectively declaring itself sovereign from the other 2 pillars. A democracy cannot function in this way. It will descend into a dictatorship. If this were being used by the executive branch, either the president, vice president, departmental secretary or agency director that was invoking it could become a dictator. If this were being used by Congress, then it could elevate the Speaker or President of the Senate to the position of a dictator. And by being used by the Supreme Court, it permits the Chief Justice to become a dictator. This particular group of justices are flirting with very dangerous precedents that could undermine the whole republic and they must be thwarted before they can cause irreparable damage to the United States.

31. There is also the concept of checks and balances that each branch has of the other. That is another reason why they are separate but equal branches of government.

    If Alito got charged for this (hahahaha), could he appeal his case up to the Supreme Court?
    And if he did, would he RECUSE himself?

35. If SCOTUS takes the view that nobody can hold them accountable for not following the law, how would an obviously illegal and unjust SCOTUS decision be enforced if Congress were to ignore it? Who could hold Congress accountable if the executive branch did not react?

36. Frankly, Congress appears to be thinking in terms of much more naked advantage than anything so subtle as the appearance of eroding the separation of powers. Republican House majority has it entirely in their best interests to keep this Supreme Court (which is routinely siding with their agenda) around to help them, and the Democrats don't have enough of a lead in the Senate to actually accomplish anything.

    (At least this is my read of the situation from another country.)

37. The DOJ is obligated to investigate His Highness Alito and not let him hide behind the "separation of powers." Otherwise, there are NO CHECKS on the Imperial Supreme Court. No one can be his own judge!!!!
