8. You guys tend to use some very odd turns of phrase. What, exactly, does “Put the screws in” mean to you? It might be that you are trying to use some variant of “putting the screws to someone”. This, I believe refers to the use, in the Middle Ages, of thumb screws or other torture devices to extract a confession of the “truth”. In current usage it refers to pressuring someone to admit a fact or truth.

About housing especially and poles… as more people have fallen into poverty out of the middle class and even out of the working middle class, they are not polled they are just trying to survive. I’m a degreed professional whom went from home to rent to a low income townhouse to currently living in a mobile home, the next step is a tent on a city street if you don’t have family that will take you in. I would love to be part of your housing coalition!
    I’ve collected over 20yrs of research including my own experiences with HUD and private management companies that are allowed by the state and federal level to take over these properties now. It is extremely corrupt.
    The funding for more federal housing has ceased. Suburbia continuously votes against low income housing in their communities. Our city communities are overloaded and underfunded. It is a very bad situation and huge problem and also very racially charged especially now with culture wars on the agenda, and needless to mention the chaos that trump ignited.
