Bret Hart is a lot of things. He is arguably Canada’s most famous sports entertainer. He’s an artist, a father and a member of the celebrated Hart family. But Bret is also a mentor who has impacted two of WWE’s Hall of Famers: Mark Henry and Edge. He helped unlock the talent that brought the two men to the top of their profession.

  1. Today's generation will never know how popular Bret was. I just always wanted his sun glasses that he would give to the kid walking down. He really was a superstar.

  2. Proud to be greatest of fan of the excellence of execution, the best there is there was,the best there ever will be..Bret the hitman hart.i always picked bret hart as my video game player.

  3. Bret thinks he was just a wrestling hero, he doesn't realize that he is a real life hero & inspiration to me & millions all over the world. His fans who were kids back in the 90's are turning them into Bret Hart fans that why he will not be forgotten & always respected.

  4. For me looking at the greatest wrestlers of all time, there are 9 categories;

    – Athleticism
    – Mic skills
    – Gimmick
    – Believability
    – Presence
    – Entrance
    – Technically of moves
    – Selling of opponents
    – Legitimate looking finishers + submission

Bret Hart is one of the few that was elite at all 9

IMO the others were: Mr. Perfect, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio.

There guys that for me are just short: Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, The Rock, Eddie Guerrero, RVD, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton.

  5. I don't think there was ever a nickname that was more suitable to a wrestler than the "Excellence of Execution!" That is truly what he committed his life to being!

  6. wrestler, not entertainer; the guy was a mediocre promo early. I'm not saying that to disparage Bret Hart, I'm saying that to disparage the WWE for labeling wrestlers as entertainers,, particularly the best wrestler they ever had.
    ..
Shawn Michaels was an Entertainer because he had no visual credibility

  7. My favorite story about Bret Hart is about how he wrestled some blonde haired Meathead new to the business and he made him look so good that Vince McMahon thought that guy was the next hulk Hogan. The guy couldn't perform or wrestle to save his life.

  8. I thought I'd seen enough after 'Wrestling With Shadows' the WWE DVD, and the 'Dark Side of the Ring' episode, but this documentary was surprisingly insightful and positive.

  9. Its so great to see Sweet Daddy Siki, I saw him so many times on Leslie st in Toronto grew up next door where he played his tunes every friday. Great to see him.

  10. Helped keep the company afloat in the pre-Attitude Era and the Attitude Era itself never would have happened without him. Plus he just made everyone he performed with better. Bret is a huge figure in wrestling history.
