"You have intentionally overbooked a flight to Buffalo of all places"
LoL, well spoken and funny too. Family was totally in the right.
Airlines doing this are a POS.
The Father and two of rhe kids should have taken the flight and the Mother could have flown home the next day.
In Canada they made it illegal for airlines to overbook seats.
This sounds illegal. How is not illegal to knowingly sell seats that don't exist?
Just discovered this youtube channel. I have never flown SouthWest, and after viewing these clips-I don't think I ever will. I am surprised that Southwest allows this footage. Each clip exhibits SouthWest as a terrible airline. Is it this bad? Can someone share if SouthWest is a good airline or poor airline.
Airline staff so terrible, not professional
He keeps complaining about his 4 kids. I guess he should have learned to keep it in his pants.
We’re they late to Baltimore for the connection due to a late arriving Southwest flight?
I was once told by American that I couldn’t get my selected seat because I’d arrived too late for my connection, and I’d arrived too late because I’d traveled on a late-arriving American flight!
It may seem a small thing, but I was connecting to an international flight on which seat selection is everything . . .
Totally on the families side, that is RIDICULOUS and i would be LIVID!!!
So they delayed the flight and bumped him off??? Sorry but southwest screwed up on this one.
family road trip here we go 😂😂😂😂🤞ðŸÂ¼
Big screwup by the airline. I felt for the family.
Just so everyone knows, overbooking is what happens when you buy tickets from a third party site for cheaper. Same thing with hotel rooms. The reservations exist but not necessarily the room or seat.
they should have offered them free hot drinks as compensation too!
censors “Jesus Christ†& “screwedâ€ÂÂ
"I understand that". No, you're just saying that to try to shut them up. If you understood it you would have offered more compensation for their situation because as you said, you "understand that"
He’s gonna call the news lol 😂 what are they gonna do ???
Had this happened to us when we want cheap flights for vaca. Going back home was the problem. We did not yell nor panicked we just asked questions the options they could give and managed to board a flight at later time in first class. This is united air.
Passengers never understand the reason that people over book or doctors double up on their appointments. It's for people who don't show up, and it happens all the time. It's very rare that everybody shows up for a flight. If they didn't overbook and they took the chance that they were flying those empty seats, everybody's plane ticket would cost $5,000 from LA to New York.
"To BUFFALO of all places…"
I appreciate the burn on her hometown
I do agree with this family. It's super annoying when they overbook, and they pretty much do it all the time. It's just not right.
Hotels over-book as well. Why? Because guaranteed, someone will fail to show up.
Yeah but where u gonna get a car…
I had this happen once. It was a few days before Christmas and we (me, wife, and two kids) were traveling from Phoenix to Philadelphia. We had booked the flight 6 months earlier and we were two hours early for the flight. But we were bumped because the flight was overbooked. We couldn't go back home, because some else was living in our house while were were gone. Because the airline couldn't get us to Philadelphia within 24 hours. They refunded all four of our tickets and booked us on a flight the next day, for free. They also put us up in a hotel, fed us, and allowed us to change the return date for no charge. That turned out to be a pretty good Christmas present.
To top everything off, it snowed that night at the Phoenix airport. Snow in Phoenix is extremely rare.
You didn’t get on the news, but you ended up on YouTube!
I don’t know how dose it work in US but here in Europe those problems we can come across only if we chose to fly with the low budget airlines and this is the one of the reasons you don’t want you fly with them.
10 hours is a looong time. I feel you buddy
That airport staff fffed up. How can connecting passengers get bumped off ? Especially when they are on time. Baltimore seems to live up to its reputation.
Thank God I never been to USA
