Oral nitro for an unconscious patient? Interesting strategy. Not using a line or starting a line on a stroke patient? Interesting. Giving nitro for a possible hemorrhagic stroke? IDIOCY!
I didn't know so many EMTs were in the comments section – you people need your own television show!
If they didn’t have to deal with gunshot wounds taking up all their time maybe they would have proper knowledge of how to do other things
Medics like this is why we’re never gonna get paid more 🤦ðŸÂ½â€ÂÂ♂ï¸ÂÂ
I’m having a stroke watching this
I'm not empress by this treatment
Alex is very cool and I love Jamal. 😃.
I am surprised she gave him nitro in the form of a pill
I have nitro but in a spray bottle, works in seconds.
she shouldn’t be able to work P/B. She needs another medic to tell her whatever she’s thinking of doing do the opposite. Nitro for a stroke are you serious? Talk about horrible care.
Don’t administer oral medications to an unresponsive patient
everyone has to understand that EMT can only do so much for someone with a stroke we cannot administer an IV or puncture skin. Only ALS paramedics can. I think she did a good jump gave him O2 on a nonribreather and Nitro to lower the BP. Take care of the ABCs all EMTs can do. Hospital takes care of the rest. Unless you are EMT, paramedic, or doctor. SHUTUP haha
I was sitting here thinking she was trying for an OPA lol and I guess contraindications dont exist
Anybody know what happened to this poor guy? Didn't look good and wasn't even secured.
Where’s the Dopamine for the hypertension
Ah yes giving a vasodilator to a potential hemorrhagic stroke. Nothing like making it bleed even more and possibly killing your patient. Not all paramedics are created equal.
NO TO SUBLINGUAL NTG!!!!! PATIENT CANNOT MAINTAIN PATENT AIRWAY
Oh noooo. Nitro. Don’t lower BP in possible/likely CVA! Oh goodness.
all of y’all pretending to be doctors in the comments lmaoo
I have a special place in my heart for stroke patients and survivors, as I am also a stroke survivor 💜 God bless the EMTs that keep us alive long enough to get to the hospital, we truly appreciate you!
Watching this makes me grateful for my own health. This can be any of us.
This part of this episode really hits home for me , thank God for the first responders, nurses and doctors who have saved my love one’s life. God bless you allâ¤ï¸ÂÂ
Cue all the 1st year "nurses" to start screaming line unstable psych patients that they could've done better.
Do you know what I’m saying him no me ðŸ‘ÂÂ👄ðŸ‘ÂÂ
This is not how Paramedics treat patients. Please know there is a distinction and big difference between EMT and Paramedic. EMT are trained technicians, true Paramedics are degree qualified individuals who have a higher theoretical knowledge and educated more extensively on pharmacology, pathophysiology and differential/provisional diagnosis. This depends on what state or country you are in however the standard for Paramedic in many places is a Bachelor of Paramedicine or equivalent, minimum.
New airway control technique. The Fowler’s head flop position.
Why administering nitroglycerin by sublingual because he is unconscious, also the patient is unsecure he tried to fall a couple of times.
They need better equipment, and she needs a new job.
Don’t like this at all
