It's because you let off the throttle it sunk. It's like a snowmobile on water if you stay on the gas it won't sink. Next time also try doing it with a 2 wheel drive slash it will probably work better
Put some pvc on the wheels and try drifting!

It was to close to the watter it couldn't get up to speed.
Two things I think would improve the goal
A longer run way to achieve max speed before hitting the water
And putting only the sand wheels on the back with the smooth ones on in front, unless it's four wheel drive. With two wheel drive, I think it would add friction, slowing down the ride, to put the sand tires on in the front

xl-5 is water resistant get yourself a water proof esc and wrap it in a balloon use a zip tie and some hot glue to seal the end where the wires come out viola instant complete water proofness

Traxxas slash going 60mph out of the box? I don't think so. I race rc cars and that thing does 30mph, 35 tops out of the box.
I think I would of worked if u had gained more speed.

Need a 3s lipo in it and you need speed to start it and the ramp at the end and probably brushless so you can actually get good speed
