In this video we’re going to talk about some guys who are doing time who have done unbelievable things that could be considered heroic.

Not everyone who is locked up is a horrible person. And I think the true character of people can be seen in times when help is needed. But should prisoners in these such cases receive time cuts for there actions? Also check out https://www.instagram.com/joepguerrero for the video included with the last story.
flat out murder. that a officer shot that man like a dog in the street. he should serve two life sentences. this will discourage anyone from revealing their knife or registered firearm, and maybe even possibly using it on the officer, before the officer can use their gun on us
Joe for presidentwell-shitYes, they should get some kind of reward. Awesome stories Joe!
The content you make is the content I believe in.
I would definitely have tried to help and not because I would be hoping for any time off.
There should be something for these prisoners to help the gaurds if nothing else for the prisoners to want to help.
Even if their sentences don’t get reduced these inmates should get some kind of reward for their efforts.
The problem with these police officers is they are scared and end up shooting people that they shouldn’t be shooting and there has to be a psychological exam to catch these officers before something happens. This case though the officer really should have been convicted and the family should have been given a multimillion dollar settlement. I know it’s not the same as having your loved one with you but it would be a start of things changing because when it starts to affect the money things always change.
I agree with you Joe! I think those inmates should have gotten released after helping that prison guard and saving his life!!!!
Yes they should get reduced time but it should be based on the actual time and serverity of the crime.
They won't give u squat! Shows u USA correctional system! Set u up to fail but you showed them wrong! Damn glad! I hope they see this and maybe treat you guys better instead of scum! Totally glad u see the positive and stay the hell away from the police! 90percent of people don't even want to say hello to them end up getting locked up in some strange ass ways! Total shame! Civil servants acting like higher than god
It doesn't matter if you're a prisoner, inmate or whatever you are, you are still a human being and you should be treated as such. Unless, like you have stated I you other video of "Monsters" then they get treated as a "Monster"
It's murder, when I was overseas (Afghanistan) We have been trained, you never ever shoot the enemy after he or she has been shoot and that when the fire fight is over and the enemy is disarmed you must give first aid to the enemy because if you don't or you just shoot him, you can and will be charged with murder.
Save a life get out of jail free.
For shire man, every good action must be properly awarded. IF not ¿Where's humanity?
great material. loved this video. one thing ive always felt strongly about is employers not giving felons job opportunities. how is someone supposed to change their life if no one will give em a chance!!!!!
An extra hotdog tray lol I'm kidding
It's stipulated in the Ca. CDC 115 rule book that if you save a CO or prevent an escape you are entitled to a time cut, if my memory serves me right.
Incentive? No. You'll end up with people trying to orchestrate these scenarios in order to get the reward. Probably the stupid ones. It will make them more problematic than normal.
Prisoners helping others proves that there is humanity in many people. Non-violent offenders especially are not out to harm others. There is a problem with US sentencing on local, state, and federal levels. People make bad decisions and mistakes, sometimes very bad ones. But they are human beings and many do not deserve to live in overcrowded, under funded, systems. W
If u got time cuts for saving a guard, then what stops me from paying my celly to kill a guard, then stop it to get released/time cut?
This demonstrates just how much more humane, reasonable and empathetic prisoners are than guards. If the tables were turned and the CO was witnessing someone locked up collapse and convulse (and this is assuming the CO wasn't responsible for facilitating this), that person would be left to fend for themselves and they may even die.
Even though these prisoners are being directly repressed by the CO (or who might as well be called a captor, enslaver, institutional/paid bully), they still decided to assist in helping improve the CO' well being.
It's quite unfortunate that prisoners are put in such desperate positions, that their self esteem is reduced to such a degree that they would actually help their oppressor.
That last officer who up and shot the guy who admitted to having the concealed weapon should be in jail for the rest of his fucking life. What the hell?!
Yes ideed
Even if it's just a small time cut, I think they should get some type of rewards.
I agree
I agree only if there record don't have anything to do with child abuse women beaters or sex ofeners 🌎
Fuck that…who is dumb enough to trade 180 days for a felony escape/5 years? …or if the guard dies and the state takes you back to court for a involuntary manslaughter because you didn't help. Most smart people on work detail are going to help. You're just dumb as fuck and deserve more time if you don't help for being a piece of shit.
Time cuts for being a good human being. Shit I'm a fucking five star human being…where's my gold bars, pat on the back and sticker? EXACTLY! Non fucking existent. The same as time cuts should be for petty work detail sentences. The rest of us, NOT in jail, don't get shit for doing the right thing on the daily,v SO why should it be any different for a convict? Bassackwards.
"We can run right now"
Situations likes this should be incentive for guards to not be complete assholes to prisoners
Uh, hell yeah people should receive a time cut when they step up and help each other or a cop or CO. It shows a lot in their character that they are very probably on a different path than what lead em to incarceration or even possibly innocent! Maybe keep it low-key so people don't abuse it or game the system with it but it should definitely happen!
Cops have been killin folks for a long, long time and will continue to do so if they ain't held accountable for their actions. So far they've mostly gotten away with it. If ya aren't willing to take a little extra risk and hold off on firing a shot til you're sure, you shouldn't have a badge and gun. Simple as that. Ya wanna be a hero? Then act like one. Cause they mostly just act like power hungry COWARDS. Especially since they know they won't be goin to prison over it. To me they should be held to a much higher standard than a civilian but instead they're let off for straight up MURDER! It's a complete joke.
Lots of people don’t realize that lots of people in jail are good people for the most part. Usually, just done something dumb. Most people won’t just watch someone die.
It's called a magazine not a clip
Doing something truly heroic I could definitely understand a time reduction but would depend on overall conviction for being there and what not
Inspirational. It is nice that there are real men even in prison. 🙂
Yes, the heroic inmates should get some sort of recognition / reward. That is only right, a gesture of goodwill and incentive for others to help in similar future incidents.
Unfortunately, many people do not know how to be kind or approve of it. They wrongly see kindness / grace as being weak or approving of whatever infraction. They are authoritarians / legalists that interpret by the letter and not the spirit of the law, with an inability to rightly divide truth and discern.
People who do the right thing do it selflessly and not for personal gain, though that can happen as a result. It is good to sleep with a clean conscience. God 🙠sees all and is a rewarder to those who obey the 2nd great commandment, to love their neighbour as themselves. Divine, ultimate justice will be served, in the end, to be sure.
They didn't get time cuts but im sure the guard and or other prison officials were character witnesses on their behalf. Which ik isn't the same but depending on your judge you could get leniency
