i am a chimney sweep and idiots like this are who keeps us in buisness. with his opinions on chimney maintenance i can tell you now that he is a chimney fire waiting to happen. have your chimneys maintenanced annually folks, it'll save you lots of $$$ in the long run because problems or potential problems can get addressed before they turn into repairs that can cost several thousand dollars sometimes. 9/10 chimneys i fix could've been a lot cheaper for the customers if they would've had it swept amd inspected annually instead of letting it go for 20+ years before they have it looked at
