  1. life is 20 years and you can get more than 1 life sentence, life in prison doesn't mean you stay until you die, you just serve the life sentence (The 20 years)

  2. @Rmathis909 20 years is a life sentence. Also do you know how old the inmate is? If he's 30+ then 20 years in jail is a long time. You've never done jail time I take it.
