  1. ya guys, you uhh, forgot to do 2 out of the 3 dyno runs you were supposed to do! where's the baseline run with stock (or whatever was on it when it came in) exhaust?? where's the run when you went from the straight pipe inserts to the muffler ones, … (Maybe that could've been skipped if they are internally open, like a glass pack type.) but that 1st one was a MUST, depending on what if any gains you get with it, would decide whether or not i would even want to buy it… just noticed, 3 years old, so who even cares now anymore… but for future vids like this, if you're going do something like this, do it right!

  2. Some of this " Running old stuff " needs to be saved & put in a Glass Case ! as is. Just a Wipe Down with some 409 & save it ! Box it in a Glass case , o-Ring sealed , Backfilled with Dry Nitrogen to 10psig. For Future Generations to see.

  3. I worked at a oil change shop as a teenager and saw a company bring there service trucks with 300 in them and one had 475 Thousand miles and showed no signs of stopping.

  4. The cargo tugs at the airport are almost all powered by ford 300s.

We had one come in the shop for preventive maintenance and it has a metallic noise coming from the engine and ran rough, but we were swamped with work and it wasn't running so bad to justify taking it off the line.

2 weeks later we brought it back in and the noise had lessened, I decided to pull the head after a compression test came back with zero compression on #1.

I found the exhaust valve drop and stuffed through the piston stem first and properly peened into the piston. I found a piston in the scrap pile, ground all the damaged out of the cylinder head. No damage to the cylinder walls. I used a random exhaust valve I found, it was to large so it got bench ground to fit.

All and all it took half a shift to get it running again, and if I wasn't so slow that day there would of been zero hesitation in leaving it on the line.

  5. Keep the V8's, I love the 300 inline six. There's nothing as hardworking, bulletproof, and forgiving as the 300 six.
And Buddy, you ain't kidding about the pure fun of a 300 Ford.

  6. As a former machinist, love to see people take the extra time to indicate things in,something I did literally every day and CNC operators have no idea about lol
