Ian Johnson from Xtreme Off Road explains why having an actual winch and not just a winch bumper with a hook. It’s an accessory you’ll want to buy before you add more lights or other parts. You never know when you’re gonna need it out on the trail, even if you think you’re prepared. So if you want to have your bases covered, here’s what Ian suggests.

So after I put a winch and metal front bumper on my JEEP JLUR, don't I need to also do other things like; take care of the front end drop with spacers which drive costs up: braking issues because of the added weight: diminished agility of driving response secondary to the added weight. Just being the devil's advocate here. I want a winch!
Why use a winch this guy looks like he’s about to go super saiyan
Light bars will be the last accessory I buy if I do at all.
I like the comment about the light bars lol.
