  1. Am I the only one who really loves the money pit Jetta? Car looks amazing now! I know it has been a nightmare for Sam but once he gets it finished it’ll be a really nice car.

  2. i AM GUESSING THAT THIS WAS THE INSURANCE REBUILDER THAT TOOK ALL OF THESE PARTS FIR ANOTHER REBUILD OR, JUST IN CASE

  3. I work in a company where we make harnesses for construction machines like CAT, T-Rex, CNH, SAME. When we need to change a connector we use special tools to extract the wires from the connector. Most likely someone cut it because his was damaged and he needed the complete one with the wires to know which wire goes where using the color code.

  4. Does copart have a way to sort your search results so you can see cars from insurance companies only? I really hope they do, I couldn't find it, but that would be a great way to f*ck those shady dealers back

  5. Dealers can be very crooked I can't tell you how many times I have caught them not doing a good job with my car even some mechanics who took a air filter out of my car and thought I wouldn't notice .

  6. I don't know if it works for newer cars, but I buy new connectors for my old Audi all the time. Usually there's a part number on the connector itself and you can check at any VW/Audi dealer what connector it's supposed to mate with. Or you can get a bootleg version of ETKA and find it yourself. I believe the connector you're missing for may be part number 7L0 972 762 (with some additional repair wires) but that's just a guess based on the few frames of video where you show the seat connector.

  7. You gamble a lot don't you? When buying any Auction cars = gambling. Buying a VW = cheap azz gambling.
Being a cheap azz by buying auction cars = lol videos like this. Don't whine buy new or from reputable dealership if you don't want a project. Everyone knows this.
Sorry. Don't get upset I'm just saying.

  8. I recon the best auction bet was yours and they thought they can get more.
When they couldn't they stripped the car before sending it off to you.

  9. Stop buying overpriced parts from the local usual offender auto parts stores.
I buy as much as I can from EBAY with better quality for much less money and trouble and I get the right parts because I order them myself.
After 40 + years in the car repair business the big nationally advertised parts houses have burnt me for the last time.

  10. I dont understand why you buy cars at auction and think that they are anything better than parts cars. Auction and projects you should stay clear of if you dont want to spend money. Everyone over pays for a car at some point but you really are gambling with your money at an auction.

  11. Seems to me that a dealer bought this car to repair another flood damaged car and needed the amp and seat connector to repair it, then they dumped it at the auction to get their money back out of it.
