  1. It must be nice to throw this nice looking and very restorable truck away .This just goes to show you don't use a truck in this condition for a derby these guys are a bunch of morons…you go into the ring with a junker that is no junker

"It's amazing that these trucks even still move."

    Really?

Note for this I live in Wisconsin smack dab in the middle of the rust belt

I was at my local sawp meet in September and they had a truck derby. Saw a Chevy square body probably in less condition than any of those trucks and it lasted all the way to the rear wheels shredded down to the hub, rear axle dragging on the ground, and frame completely snapped in half. Only reason he got third was because his axle sat higher than the rims (what was left of them) and he couldn't move.

Now that's a truck that is amazing it still moved let alone ran.

  3. That truck was to clean to be cut up. No one is putting a fully rebuilt trans that costs $$$$ to get destoryed in 15 mins in a derby truck. Ive seen alot to engine swaps at derbys but not many people dropping a few $$$$ on a rebuild bored over engine to have it blow a ring or melt down when the radiator blows because they always blow. Theres more money in that truck then most peoples daily drivers. Idk if they ever actually crashed it. But im thinking not and they pulled the engine and trans back out as soon as the camra was off because most derby cars cost between 500 to 1000 dollars

  4. This is sad to see these squares destroyed looks like these trucks could be restored and put back on the road my 82 square makes the 3rd old truck I'm doing and no wonder it's hard to find parts because people destroy them or mudrun the shit out of them…..🙄🤦‍♂️

  5. People in Elmira NY build their demolition derby cars 6 months in advance of the Chemung county fair in Horseheadds NY. Some people build a Dodge stratus into a demolition derby car what is your take on it

  6. To think, if you ran that truck around here it would be extremely under built. Also, round here people are using less square body trucks in favor of newer super duty fords and 3rd gen dodges. Maybe that's because most of the square bodies were used up, or full box frames are better, or both.

  7. All that work into the motor and transmission and it’s a stock truck build lol these guys are idiots. That stuff needs to be in a mod truck.
