So Volkswagen is reportedly looking to sell off its motorcycle division, Ducati, according to Jalopnik. Ducati joined the Volkswagen Group under Audi in 2012, and is estimated to be worth about $1.6 billion. In 2016, Ducati’s sales were worth nearly $644 million. The reasoning behind selling Ducati can be linked to Volkswagen’s commitments to electric cars.

VW has already cancelled Audi’s LeMans program and their WRC racing efforts. There is no definite buyer as of yet and neither Volkswagen nor Audi has commented on the matter.
