What year and vehicle did you get the exhaust manifolds from
It's got ring gap. I think it would have easily survived 15 pounds. But honestly I think it would have been better with a cam trade some of that tourge for some top end hoarse power
what was the ring gap on this. What was the air intake temp at that boost. From this I would have run 14psi if it had the right gap and temps

Early 460 1969-70 they put out 375 horse power and around 500 in torque…. The Lincoln motors!

Richen it up, run 12psi boost, keep the timing down and let it rip.
The sudden drop off on the torque and hp, perhaps the carb needs some tuning

Instead of big AFR heads on this combo with boost I made 980 HP with the same bottom end at 20 PSI
Does anyone know what exactly which valve springs they used for this build? (he mentions 103lbs seat, 290lbs open, etc) The link in the video description does not take you to them 🙁
This is a "Pork Chop" motor.
Good engines, but nobody uses them. They run great, dependable, but junkyards are full of them. No hot rod buildups touch them.
I always here about the 460 but not much about the 490. Is the 490 not good for performance or what?
460ci are good for 700hp at 113mph in a f350 truck it can make a lot more power i know
