    Loved the simple tips. Been awhile since I've done a brake job and time has changed from the old ways for sure. So ty for the tips.

The surface of many performance pads is impregnated with a formulation that will transfer to the rotor face for optimal connection between pads and rotor.Coating must be deposited in consecutive 10 to 50 mph hard braking sequences,never coming to a stop,however.Why you need a long country road to properly accomplish this.I used to run Hawk Yellows on my 04 Terminator,great track pads.Good job on the demo ,tho.

  5. If you apply slight pressure to your C-clamp while gradually bleeding the brake line you shouldn't have to experience much pumping at the brake peddale. Don't get in a hurry. Lol

  6. Not to complain, but . . .

    Didn't see you clean rust/scale off the caliper brackets or the hub.
    Normal anti-seize sometimes gums up at brake temperatures; the high-temp stuff is a better choice (that's what it looks like you used)
    Sometimes the wear indicators have to be in a particular location for clearance . . . I prefer to always put them in the same location as they were on the old brake pads.

  7. Just letting you on, anti-seize turns into a clay like when it gets really hot not recommended for brake use
    It’s made for threads seizing

  8. Eric you forgot to mention a stick caliper and the symptoms. Likely happens right after your brake job. Happened on my car and my truck

  9. Btw pro tip. Brake fluid is water soluble. And as such can be rinsed off with plain water. Useful knowledge if you can’t spray it with brake clean for some reason.

  11. hey Eric, great vid for servicing breaks, could you perhaps touch more on how to bleed breaks, like the procedure and method you would use ? ive done it once but was a hassle. whats the best method ?

  12. About opening the bleeder valve when compressing, I don’t open the cave because that way you can tell if it doesn’t compress whether or not you may need a caliper or brake hose

  13. One mention when putting on new brake pads if you have to struggle to get them on see if when the shims are holding up things. Needed to use a small grinding tool

    to get my rear brake pads on a Dodge Challenger to fit in the space for the pads a couple of times. Somehow an incorrect radius of metal was keeping the pads from
    nicely dropping in where they should be. It happens occasionally where the manufacturer of the pads screws up! No it wasn't a caliper bracket issue!

  14. The tips regarding lubricating the slide pins and applying anti seize to the points on the pad backing plate where it contacts the caliper carrier are great. I run my car at track events so my foot is extra sensitive to how the brakes respond as I release the brakes going into a corner and sticking pads are super annoying when you’re trying to be smooth.

  15. on your engine functions i made alot of notes because i want to be a mechanic look ill show you ….

    2 cam shafts but both cam shafts do different thing.

    such as..

    exhaust cam shaft and this controlls all the exhaust vavles

    Intake cam shaft and it controlls all of the intake vavles.

    How do you know that the cam shafts are different?

    Because the bumps on the cam shaft are different the exhaust bumps are higher and fatter than the intake cam shaft.

    Oil pump…

    the cam shafts drives the oil pump.

    Dip stick…

    the dip stick goes down into the engine and when u pull it out you will know when the oil is empty because the dip stick will be dry..

    exhaust mani fold…

    all the holes in the exhaust mani fold it all goes into one big hole underneath the mani fold…

    Drive belt…

    the timing belt connect to the cam shaft and it makes your engine in time..

    timing chain…

    one gear isn't bigger because you have one revolotion and its the four strouk engine timing…

    intake mani fold…

    it has diffrent runners wich are the same lengh and intake mani fold have long runners and big and fat for higher end horse power and allows the engine to have more air because of the RPM..

    oil casket…

    allows air to flow through the engine more easly and the shape of it is very important

    cylinder head…

    is the main part of the engine

    combustom chamber…

    decides how the engine preforms and makes the engine works within a certain range and certain time..

    the groove sits in the top of the valve and it holds it all together. The shiny spots connect to the engine seat and they have a special steat the oil grind.. If it leaks it makes the egine loss and the engine wont work

    Valve springs..

    its the job of the spring to close the valve .. and they need to rapidly to close the valve if not its someting called valve flow… Valve springs are realy quick and the springs had the connect to it realy quickly.

    if you have bad seal heads then oil will leak in and it is not a good thing if the valve gets too big it will burn more oil..

    Crank shaft…

    the crank shaft have a massive gear calll the fly wheeel and fly wheel is only for manuel and flex plate is for automatic vehicles…

    sister cylinders…

    the two sister cyliunder always come up the same time but the brother cylinder stay down and only come up when the sister cylindes go down..

    Metal plate…

    these are desined for the oil tho scrape on the engine to help keep out big chunks and the oil filter helps keep dirt out of the engine…

    Pistons…

    as it roatates the get the harmonik balnceers because evertyime the pistons spin asround it goes from accelerating to deacellerating and the armonic balncer and helps the crank shaft to increase speed and decrease speed…

    Horsepower=Torque X rpm / 5252

    torque equates to more tourque and cam shafct design…

    baring cap….

    the bearing cap has little caps and fit down into the engine and slid then down into place and the journal has to be compleatly round.

    Piston..

    when you take a piston out yopu will see a hole there is is how the pistons move to peddly the crank shaft.. pistons have to be stiff if they are moving without any froce then you will need a new piston…

    oil control ring.

    compression rings have 2 different meanings and they seel againts the inside of the cylinder the little dense in the top is for the valve to fit in very easily and the valves just slide in….

    And this is everything about an Engine.

  16. I dont know why you guys want to live in Snow States ..Cant drive your nice cars during winter because of all the crap they put on the roads.. Damn here in Australia its too cold for me when it gets under 15 deg C! .There really are maybe only 3 months were it rains alot during the year here.

  17. I believe those Jeep wheels should have been torqued at 100 not 80 pounds. I work in a tire shop everyday and that’s what our book from the manufacturer says but what do I know 🤷‍♂️
