Apparently the dampers on the Salvage Rebuild Audi S3 are broken, even though it drives really well. They cost a lot, even more than the shocks on the V12 Mercedes, but are really worth it.

I can’t believe that’s a 4 chicken power car !! lol
Thanks for including the chicken cameos!! I always look for them in each of your videos!! Another great video!
Samcrac, I loved this S3 so much I went and bought one, such a fun car to drive for a daily commuter.
4:34 CHRISFIXXXX????!!! I REALLY DOUBT(good way)
Golf RRRR
@4:20 sounds like a regular Saturday

LOL. The chickens are more scared of you coming at them than the car.
I'd wager it's more likely to be the spring that has weakened, I have the same problem with a saggy driver's side spring on my 2006 A3. P.S. Love the chickens!
Please don't eat your helpers for not cooperating!
I love your chickens!
please do the lincoln video
I changed my front struts on my b6 passat. I had same issues putting it back together but man it feels good to know when is done. Sad part is I need to replace them again…. cheap struts… never again.
Can you not perform a ride height adaption using vag-com?
ChrisFix!💪ðŸÂ»💪ðŸÂ»💪ðŸÂ»
when I replace those you are suppose to replace all 4 or sides of the car won't sit right
S3 is mag ride in the rear only
There is no VW upgrade from a GTI!!!
I can so relate to the chrisfix power.
You can also use a 1/4" ratchet to spread that knuckle when you're in a pinch but the spreader tool is worth every penny!
Anybody notice the fluid puddle under the car.
Hay Sam, you did great job. I hope I could get your advice in a car I would buy from Florida. I will appreciate your time. My email oalboaishi@gmail.com
So did that fix the ride hight issue?
The valving in the original strut could have been damaged in the accident allowing the fluid on either side of the valve to flow freely during compression and rebound. That would compromise the strut but wouldn't cause fluid to leak out.
@samcrac how much did you bought this car for?
Definitely want to see more wrenching on stuff — I'm always looking for tips and tricks about fixing cars. That ChrisFix tip was awesome! When I inevitably have to replace the struts on my wife's VW Sportwagen, I will know what to look for!
This is like B is for Build but its much better and informative.
Audi S3 has an electro magnetic suspension as you already know. On this suspension you can't just throw a new strut or shock in like regular suspension. The vehicles computer needs to know that it got new parts and basically need to reset it.
In this episode Samarc beats it and shoves it up there
The struts have nothing to do with the ride height unless they are bend or damaged. If they are just worn out or blown, the ride height won't change. The springs control the height.
LOL 2 guys beatin on it for an hour
You could probably just stick a camera on just the chickens and make bank.
"nah, not like that" top 10 line from any of youtube's auto channels.
Let's see the inside of your car
And no one wants that beat riced out gti.. nice side skirts…NOT
Get coilovers all around much cheaper
Like many already have said, the car height it's basically all about springs, not shocks. And if the shocks it's not leaking, and doesn't make any noise while driving turning, we'll can't be bad
What year is the s3?
More years ago then I care to admit I had a 1978 Camaro and when I needed drivetrain and some other parts I would tell the parts store I was buying for a Monte Carlo because Camaro parts at the time were outrageous, at least where I lived they were.
