I’m sure by now you’ve heard of the Volkswagen emissions scandal that made the news a few years ago. Well on Wednesday, Volkswagen officially plead guilty in the U.S. for using false statements to import cars in the US and obstructing investigations when authorities became suspicious of the emission levels of their diesel engines.
Volkswagen also agreed to pay a $4.3 billion dollars in penalties, while prosecutors announced charges against five people in Germany. So far 7 men have been charged
