The new footage of Lamborghini’s Huracán Performante doing laps and the Nurburgring is pretty impressive. It has a lap time of 6:52, which puts it ahead of the Porsche 918 Spyder’s record by a whopping 5 seconds.
The Huracán Performante isn’t Lamborghini’s first car to break a 7-minute lap on the Nurburgring but it is the fastest time they’ve hit. The Aventador LP750-4 SV was the first Lambo to run the track but its time was 6:59. There’s not a whole lot of specs out yet for the Huracán but Autoblog reports it has a V10 that puts out 630 horsepower. Since the Aventador SV has 740 horsepower under the hood, its speculated that the faster time is due to aerodynamics and lighter weight
