There’s something going on up in Bowling Green at the Chevrolet Corvette production facility. They’re shutting down public tours for the next year and a half, according to Bowling Green Daily News. GM reports the closure is so the plant can undergo extensive work. So of course, with this news, the rumors have started to fly.
This could mean we’re about to see a dramatically different Corvette model in the next few years. There have been rumors of a new engine for the ZR1, DOHC V8 or possibly the mid-engine Corvette. What are your theories on the shutdown? Or what are you hoping will come from it?

Yeah, that figures. I'll be returning to Bowling Green in July. They were shut down last time I was there to retool to build the new Stingray.
