The 2018 Ram Rebel is Ram’s answer to the new Ford F-150 Raptor and it definitely looks like a strong competitor. The platform starts out as the body and frame of the Ram 1500 but with more extensive durability upgrades. As for the engine, it will come with a supercharged and intercooled 6.2 liter Hemi V8, better known as the Hellcat engine. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and is all-wheel drive.

The Rebel TRX concept was revealed last year with a 575 HP engine but as with many concepts, the power output can change dramatically once it reaches production. I imagine with the 6.2 liter Hemi V8, a lot of power can be expected under the hood of the new Rebel. It goes on sale at the end of this year at a starting price of $55,000 according to Car and Driver. What do you think about it?

  1. I just got my 2018 Rebel blacked out and man, I'll put this bad boy up against a Raptor any day for looks. Phsyically however, I can't be sure, I know I love the ability to lift my truck when needed or drop it to get it in the garage, I couldn't be happier (maybe with a little better fuel economy as I'm running about 16.1 at the moment but, there's only 2500 km on it (in two weeks, yeah, I've been hitting it hard but its so much fun to drive!) looks fucking sick next to my 2002 1500 Mean Streak. I am complete. For now. Unique "white" lettering on the seats rocks too. Great looking ride. The Hellcat version of this truck would be sick.
