Good news for Chevy fans because it was just announced that the new Camaro ZL1 can easily hit 200MPH. How? Chevy’s going to add a 10-speed automatic transmission to the new Camaro that’s the same transmission currently used in the new Ford Raptor. GM and Ford worked together to create this transmission, so it technically belongs to both companies.
GM recently tested the new ZL1 with the automatic transmission in Germany it hit 202.3 MPH! On average, the ZL1 was producing 198 MPH but after GM set the front and rear camber adjustments to 0 degrees and the tire pressures to the maximum allowable sidewall pressure, the ZL1 then averaged over 200MPH
