What about manual shift can be swap it ?
What would you charge to do that to my jeep?
NEVER sell the original engine and trans. Someday "numbers matching" will matter on "new" vehicles too. Same goes for "upgrades" that are not completely "reversible". If you're going to do a "build" you may as well start with a "worthless" vehicle with a salvage title and save a ton of money up front and down the road because "upgrades" like that engine "swap" completely destroy the book value of the vehicle AND some "upgrades" guarantee you or rather the next "caretaker" a salvage title if – not when because nothing is less "sought after" than "upgraded" so-called "builds" and they have absolutely no "resale" or "trade" value – the vehicle is ever "flipped".
Anything you do that involves "surgery" on the chassis whether cutting, welding or "only" drilling holes = instant salvage title.
A 4.7 Hemi would be a way more balanced, reliable and durable option.
If you in GA I could use you for my upgrade.. Seems like a lot,
Im gonna be doing this swap to a 97 Cherokee soon. Yep putting some junkyard gold into a shitbox😅
Do mine. Cash in hand. When and where do I drop it off.
LOL Who wants to do this to my 2008 Jeep Wrangler X… I will let you do it for free… 😂😅
What exhaust manifolds did you use?
13:29 pretty reasonably priced, doesnt mention the price.
Nothing Chrysler makes is bullet proof.
Thanks very educational & I enjoyed the build as I'm gong with a hemi v8 soon!
145 horses doesn’t seem worth the amount of time and money that was spent
18:43 do you think that 5.7 hemi swap and transmission would work in a 67 Jeepster Commando? I have a 2008 Jeep Commander I could use as a donor engine and transmission.
What year is the Hemi motor that you put in the jeep?
How do you get a custom PCM like that, that has your vehicles information programed in
You could have made it much better with putting in Chevy LT engine and a 10sp
Hey if you still have the y ground strap from the 3.8 I'll buy it from you
The lack of power on the 3.8 would be manageable if the engine was dependable. Sadly, these engines are absolute junk.
Bruh got that low profile jack for a jeep😂 love it
I have an 88 Yugo that is stock. I want to upgrade to 14" rims if possible.
I wish I had common sense.
Quick question do you the same transmission? I have 2017 wrangler sahara unlimited and I wanna swap to hemi .what kind transmission if I can't used factory
I can't believe I'm Just now seeing this
some video about cummins swap?
Can anyone please share link for the non VVT 5.7L hemi swap kit
How much would something like that cost ? man i would love to swap my engine.
Would the recommended Hemi and transmission for your build be the same for my 2011 manual transmission?
I’d love to see this type of engine swap with a new Jeep Gladiator equipped with a 6-speed manual. Modern Hemi power coupled with a 6-speed manual would be the ultimate combination for the Gladiator. Also I might be getting a 2010 Dodge Charger with a V-6 that I would love to Hemi swap.
Love automotive Chris Evans.
Where can I get this done to my jk?
too bad jeep is trash
That's still not much power
What a project! Have always wished I could do this!
Finally an engine a wrangler deserves
please never put an Ls in a Mopar. gag hurl
somewhat underpowered?
You guys should fix up a thunderbird SC. 3.8l SC
You paid $15k??? They saw you coming.
Hey guys awesome build! I also want to complement the proper evacuation of the A/C refrigerant and use of a face shield when grinding. It’s possible to enjoy auto sports while also taking reasonable actions to protect yourself and the environment.
No replacement for displacement…..stop spouting that old crap…modern forced induction is alot better….dont see many NA engined cars running with the big boys, Mclaren/Ferrari/Koenigzegg/Porsche/Hennessey etc all forced induction.
All that budget and no ac machine to evac yourself…..shame shame shame🤔😢😆😆
Teraflex makes CV ends for stock driveshafts that have wider flanges and heavier boots for lifted Jeeps. They’re $150 a piece. Much cheaper than new shafts, and they stand up to heavy wheeling.
I've got a 2014 Grand Cherokee that I'd love to see how to swap out the engine and trans. Eventually I'd like to make it an off road rig for high alpine off road out here in Colorado. Love you guys! Keep up the good work.
