HorsePower builds the epitome of a “sleeper” car. They take a drab, mundane 1997 Thunderbird, remove it’s stock 4.6 engine to replace it with a 427 cubic inch beast. It’s project also involving transmission, rear end and suspension upgrades. However, the exterior will be “plain Jane” all the way.

Yes
I am disappointed in your coverage of the t-bird frame connectors & associated welded components. Frankly, I didn't lean much from the limited coverage
this was a great episode lots of cool little assembly tips lots to take away thanks for the upload
84 to 86 are 4 eyed cares not the 87 an 88 nose
I'm a little disappointed how the 83-88 model was downplayed. The styling was revolutionary in the 80s and the 87-88 Turbo Coupe 5spd was a force to be reckoned with.
Good to see you are doing a new diff. Great show.. keep em cumin.
I wish had their budget
I wish had their budget
Fox chassis? I think you have the wrong generation.
In this case out with the new and in with the old
It would had been easier and cheaper to just boost that 4.6 v8
Nice. My 89 needs it. California car, HELP! A Millisecond can make the Start or Finish a Win or Loss . This Bird 🕊️ Got the Start, the 427 . Will. Nice to hear Your voice 🙂. Thanks
Poor Mike getting yelled at.
This was my first car . I had v6 sc.. Wanted to fix it up.. Couldn't.. Dad made me sell it.. Paid 800 for it.. Never got to drive it but a few times.. I'll never drive again.. Cars roads USA.. Garbage
🤣 this is why YouTube is so deceiving, only here can you perform a complete power train swap in 17 minutes.
I like when I see Timken bearings in videos like these. I like to see the stamps to know if they were made at the one I work at or not.
As usual ford found a way to make a cool car ugly
I sure miss my 1992 T-Bird, best handling car I ever drove. 3.8 liter V-6, finally kicked a rod out at about 325,000 miles. The body was in fantastic condition, no rust or dents.
This T-Bird is gonna be upgraded, but, What exactly do you mean by “sleeper?”
I like unpopular choice cars im not a follower.
Love this show just wish they fire that mule or he get a set of plastic teeth that fit instead if having to hear him yapp with those teeth.. Imma pop my teeth out and press this bearing on buy some orileys spray cleaner
Why can't this be my 91' Thunderbird
That 410 is for the track. Not good for a street ride that goes on the Interstate trying to run at 85-90mph for an hour.
I love this now YouTube channel. I watched this actual episode when I was younger. I never knew that the only years the thunderbird was on the fox chassis was from like 1983-1986 though. I hate to say ole Elmore was misinformed, and misinformed untold thousands of people. The last year for the fox mustang was 1993..so this probably has more in common with the sn95 mustang chassis most likely lol.
Sorry but that pattern on those gears was way off .
