  1. Awesome work guys! BTW, those outer caps of the axles just pop off by slipping the boots off then hitting them with a large brass deadblow hammer once you grip the axles by the shafts on a bench vise. No need to cut the axles. Anyways, love the build and keep up the great work! I wish you sold all those parts you fabricated.

  2. but the RWD Civic IS BACK! We've got the next episode in the queue already so be sure to smash that like button if you like this content! DRY ICE is the KEY to getting sound deadening out FAST!

  3. I get that taking the sound deadening saves weight and makes it easier to weld in a roll cage but why does everyone do it? It doesn't really seem worth it to me. I can't he that much weight and doesn't make it that much easier to do a roll cage.

  4. Why didn't you just knock the axle out of the stub end and just remove the cage and pivot bearings? Then clean out bearing/axle grease. Boom your done no cutting or welding necessary!! Just 2 cents from a 20 year Honda Tech.

  5. I used dry ice & IPA to do the same thing in a car back in the mid 80's. I think the IPA helped get to every nook & cranny a bit better which made it easier to remove the sound deadening. Loving your projects guys👍👍

  6. Yay! FREK content once again! Hey Mickey, are you still keeping this car once done and ran on the track? I'll try my luck if it will be given away. lol. Awesome work Throtl team!

  7. You guys should really try to hook up w/ Jimmy Oakes when both your RWD civics are done! Thatd be a cool video, maybe some note comparing how you guys tackled different hurdles n whatnot..

  8. Thanks guys, throtl is my fave car mod channel. I wish I was less poor to buy some cool merch etc off yuz. Thanks for all your hard work and your gender inclusive shout-outs,… even though I'm probably your only female viewer, lol

  9. Hey guys, I'm worried the gearing will be way too long in this car. The CR-V/element rear diff has a ratio of 2.5 to one because the transfer case has a built in gear reduction for the rear axle. I reckon you would want similar gearing to an s2000, which has a 4.something to one diff ratio. I don't know if different ring and pinions are available for CR-V diffs, but that would work too.
