Surprisingly, this was one of my most controversial videos to date. Honestly I had no idea the original video would cause such a stir. After reading through the comments on the last video and the comments over at my forum I decided to make this video answering to many of your concerns. I hope this video helps clear the air and we can move on. Here are the links that were mentioned in the video.

Putting HIDs in my 04 Sebring coupe, your vid is what I needed. Thank you.
Where did you get the reflecting metal cover that you put over the bulb?
Whatever happened to motorfiend? I can't find their website. It's the only kit I've seen with that bulb protector/holder that only reflects in one direction.
Well handled.
EricTheCarGuy Where can I find that retainer? I just found the retainer Clips .
How did this possibly get dislikes???
Like a divorce, He said, She said. lol. You have a point there. That's why I'm a member of ETCG1.
I have a '01 Saturn L200 and my assy's have a "Cut Off" as well. They're not projector's, 2003 is. Nobody's flashed their brights at me in 3 years of having them.
That's awesome..exhaust manifold. lol.
Fair play Eric. Well done.
Yet another great video by ETCG, thanks brother.
Wonderful attitude. Just earned a subscriber.
I didn't know that there was that retaining clip which prevents HIDs in reflectors from blinding everyone. Still, i'm sure cheaper kits don't include them since often I come across cars with blinding headlights. in many cases they have separate bulbs for low and high beams and clearly the low beams are just blinding. I wish the cops gave tickets to those people.
what about halogen light bulbs having a different focal point compared to an HID? I am not hating, I am just confused as to what people are saying
Couldn't you just change the bulbs rather than the whole kit to get a different color?
Haters are going to hate… you have helped me "very much" with a variety of problems …Thank You for doing what you do !!! 🙂
Yo Eric that retainer you talked about, is that a separate piece that you need to buy? if so and where? I've got a 9006 and the one's I found don't look anything like the one you showed?
Well said mate . appreciate everything you said . plus you sorted out a question i had.
People are aggravating. Don't you want to just tell them to pull their head out? LOL
Very informative Eric, straightforward.
Brother let me know if you got that fog kit, Ill send one just because of all the help you channels given me. Cant believe you got so much guff over headlights. Glad I watched  this and I mistakenly came here instead of the install first. You handled it like a pro & gave me some food for thought before I purchase my kit. As always thumbs up
no offense but this guy looks stoned
awesome video. where can you get "retainer" like that.
I'm sure no matter what you do you'll have the potential to blind oncoming traffic cause of the type of bulb. Even vehicles with Factory HID headlights blind oncoming traffic cause it's a brighter bulb, and not all vehicles have that projector housing and just use standard headlight housing. But the projection headlight housings do add character to a vehicle and I think they look awesome. Especially the Angel Eyes HID headlight housings and bulbs.
Some newer vehicles have that dedicated housing, some don't. It really depends on the vehicle, or if the owner wants to spend more money on a different headlight housing and assembly, so just a thought. I like the look of the projector housing. Great video, keep up the good work. Thanks for info on HID's
Where can I find these retainers? I have LEDs
I know this happened some time ago (I'm not even sure you still have the Element) but I'm sorry you had to deal with so much negativity over a simple headlight installation. I have noticed, however that so many vehicles here in MA have truly blinding headlights nowadays; so much so that I mentioned it to a friend who said it is due to misalignment which you also mentioned in your video. Perhaps the legality issue should be one of proper alignment after installation and not so much whether to install them at all. I'm guessing that there are plenty of vehicles equipped with HID headlamps that don't cause blinding issues for oncoming traffic due to proper alignment. Now if those other folks with HID lamps could just properly align them. 😉
WHERE DID YOU BUY THE RETAINER SHIELDS YOU PUT OVER THE BULBS?!?!? I've been looking everywhere for these with no luck!!
my respect bro
cant stand ppl who put HID's in non projector housing…should be illegal and finnable…its super dangerous to put HID's in a non projector housing as the intense light output is being shot EVERYWHERE not focused liek it would in a projector causing on comming traffic to get blind…there is a reason why cars dont come with HID's in non projector housing from factory…shur your increesing your output but blinding others and risking them running into you then its your fault…also HID's are for ricers and posers, if you cant afford a project headlight then stop loading your car with a silver bullet and going out and trying to kill ppl every night with HID's in halogen housing…i dont care if u got that lil thing that "redirects" the light…have u EVER went up to a oncomming car with a hid kit in halogen housing at night? you will be blinded and start swearing…not going "aww yea thats cool man sweet i cant see dick all but yea aww man your cool…"
YOU BABY SEAL KILLER YOU—LOL——-
WOW, WHAT WIMPS YOU HAVE WRITING IN.
ERIC VERGES ON BRILLIANT MOST OF THE TIME——–
GET OFF HIS ASS YOU NAYSAYERS——-I have a 97 Honda civic and an hid kit with relay harness. do I need to plug the signal plug coming off the relay into my factory harness or can I run them without it. I don't have it plugged into the factory but the lights come on but somtimes the low beam will go out .
Hi Eric, I just want you to know i really enjoy and learned a lot from your videos. I know in life no matter what you do, there will be someone out there try to judge you, don't mind them, keep up with your videos and like you always said ( stay dirty) Thanks
