Clutch Performance – The guys finalize Fat Stack’s transformation from automatic to manual as they install the clutch and pedal assembly in their ’71 Caprice.
Tommy and Joel have a heap-load of information to share as they tackle a significant change in “Fat Stack”, converting it from an automatic to a manual transmission. They discuss why manual transmission multiplies the fun factor, particularly for big-body Chevrolet like theirs. Watch Fat Stack go from an ordinary automatic with a Turbo 350 to a manual using an American Powertrain T-56 6-speed Magnum.

I put 48" bleeder line on mine and bleed it from under the hood.
Talking about thread depth here, thanks for the formula to figure it out! Another method is to use aircraft type hardware as they have a small "witness hole" to verify you have the correct depth installed.
You should check your lift at least once a week. It only takes 5 mins and load distribution should be every vehicle.
You guys should use Internal combustion engine on your any type of car you like in next video and can you please use Internal combustion engine in your car please.
I’ve been waiting on Fat Stacks
Wow. Terms like master and slave still used in clutch systems. Very happy to see that the crazy and ridiculous woke culture hasn't infiltrated the automotive mechanic's world. Yet. I plan to install a master bathroom very soon to our master bedroom. Why do they try to make everything about race? God created us all.
G'day. You guys ever herd of speed bleeders. If not they are a one way bleeder
Did he just say the boost controller is going to com in handy with the supercharger?
170 👍's up thank you for sharing 😅
Absolutely love this build
Sonnax TH400 for me….
eww canada
Thanks for the demo on clutch bleeding boys! I’ve had my own headaches doing that to my car.
What about the hydraulic fluid for the lift? Check level.
Awesome build.
Awesome build would love to drive it 😮
Only one time did I race a four speed, I switched to an automatic and dropped it in drive and let the transmission do the work. I was a bracket racer who never hit 10’s but enjoyed the simplicity. Since I was a professional truck driver I wanted a vacation when I was at the track. Great Videos Thanks 🙏
You guys spend all this time … effort … and money on this thing and you cheap out and use a 5/16" all thread for a clutch rod??? I don't care if it is hydraulic the bends that were put in it will flex. Use that all thread as a pattern and up size the diameter to a solid rod … say 1/2" and if a person was careful you could drill and tap the ends for 5/16" thread and put 5/16" studs for the adjusters.
U building a Donk a F’ed it up ! A stick and really Small Wheels! I’m really disappointed with the show ! Is it too black for ya ?
Can a person put square tubing on a vehicle or would it ruin the car and how would it sound
This car better be put in holley power tour!!
some damn cool cars.
It's most beautiful car I've ever seen in my life
💪
Here in Sweden we finally have automatic transmission on the majority of new cars. But you convert from automatic to manual… Anyway, great videos and I love this project with the Caprice.
Noti Squad up!
About time this one of the best cars yall built
Good grief! Just buy a power bleeder that runs on shop air… one guy can bleed all 4 wheels in 10 minutes, and a clutch takes 5 minutes or less. I bought mine from Matco – they call it a SHOP AIR BRAKE BLEEDER.
Nice
Many hands make light work.
