Just use brake clean to clean parts.
You welcome everyone
REMEMBER…. NO TALKING IN CLASSS
Excellent Episode!
Economy stand tell me something dude….
Is that harbor freight blue I see there because everything those low life sell and I did know Schmidt the guy who started the business is made in China.. … I owned the farm in Tennessee my family came from there so don't try and lay that on me either I'm going to tell you that you should not be dealing with Chinese stuff you're just buying bullets to kill Americans….. Buy American keep the money here next time you look around you look at the faces you see the fellow tennesseans and you ask yourself how would you feel if you bought the bullet that shot that young man…. China is not your friend they're not my friend and I wouldn't accept their money.
Pat is probably my favorite guy on this show ever. Not just for his tech, and ability. But also his ability to get an engine to fire on first try. Plus all those pens he has, is cool..lol
I miss the days when my dad made me turn off Modern Warfare 3 on my PS3 so he could watch this show with me on tv
I avoid giving ‘thumbs down’, so consider yourself special. This is a superficial treatment of an important subject.
Avoid Grade 5 bolts? Bwahaha! Ignorance.
Rating piston composition by horsepower is about the most ridiculous idea this show has ever came up with…… about.
Hi
Can I get the dyno system dialogues
Upendra.upp
No welding gloves.. I like it. I think I had been welding about two years before I realised I could wear gloves, but on quick stuff they're hardly worth the trouble.
Brake cleaner is bleach and solvent, carb cleaner is Acetone and toluene, Acetone is Paint thinner as they all are.
Safetyclean is mineral spirits – paint thinner, Ultrasound is really good -laundry detergent and water.
All you need is Oven cleaner for engine casting that have heavy buildup ,then Mineral spirits, lastly Acetone is reserved for removing varnish in fuel system parts. All this stuff requires Safety equipment and Adequate ventilation which is outdoors. It is all bad for the nervous system , liver, skin . eyes, and everything else. Causes cancer in California for sure.
dam i think u need another pen in ur shirt pocket man :p
A little noise is nuthing compared to when I hade a valve head break off at 7200rpm it was inbeded in the forged piston which was sideways in the block where the cylinder used to be when I beat it out the piston was mangled but not broke anywhere tough shit I'll go forged!!!!!
I wonder if that dude could fit any more pens in his shirt pocket. 😆😆😆
By far then best channel on youtube!
Shameless Matco Tools plug for 18 minutes and 42 seconds. Lmao
if you use coupons you can get all those tools for 85,000$! you save 125$ on the engine stand alone.
Why settle for the battery drill to rotate the stand when you can have a small block Chevy motor rotate it. More power hu hu hu.
DO NOT BANG ON YOUR PISTONS, EVEN IF YOU USE A RUBBER HANDLE OR RUBBER MALLOT.
Good job guys! Thank you for the information as always.
I know it’s for TV but when you weld without gloves, with a polyester shirt, without treated cotton coveralls or PPE it sets a bad example and looks really amateur. I’m an industrial tradesman and no one welds anything that way.
So this heat.. how do i protect myself from the last part…?
I want to be taught by horsepower tv, not Lincoln tec..
how many pens does a guy need ?
..i'd keep the crank handle, because every time you wanna Rotate the Engine, you go get the Drill..plus, it looked Smoother in Operation..that Drill was Jerking like crazy..
..also, why you dirtying your Solvent with Old Piston gunk..chances are you gotta Bore It, so chuck All That & go in with a Totally New Rotating assembly..crank too, because the Machine Shop will cost you more than buying All New Stuff..plus, you got All New Stuff..
Some companies blast the engine part with heated air, then they blast them with beads. Here is an example:

I have never seen or heard of a data tower of a dyno. I'm impressed with how much information the dyno tower can handle.
Buy a stock LS engine, open the rings, slap a turbo on it and make 600+ HP all day on stock pistons. Or if your Matt Happel make over 1000hp to the tire with some pressure and nawzz
Weld a 1/2 drive socket onto that crank handle and will be so much happier.
Times for correct motor assembly:
90% cleaning time
9% assembly
1% prepare coffee
Where’s his GLOVES at when he was welding
He cleans like I did as a kid…bare hands soaked in paint thinner…now I have Leukemia.
If you go cast , you come in LAST !😂
Puts 4.56 gears in engine stand😂😹
I will tell you what all of this requires…$$$
Do manufactures make plastic pistons or is it basically aluminum?, kinda crazed question but there's stuff going on out there we know not about.
"This machine is a heavy duty dishwasher." -Pulls out tray that is held in place by zip ties.
Vh45 or 2jz build ? 👀☝️
That Black and Red Matco Tool Box in the shop looks Awesome!
