  1. I wasn't sure if I had the nerve or the motivation to do this myself to my G8 GT. However, I think you've shown me that it is manageable and well worth the effort. Nice work as always Mickey.

  2. As soon as you said affordable I immediately thought of the VHT epoxy paint in a can I can't explain how that happened but it must be a car guy thing, just upped the front breaks on my SC and instead of cutting them of like most people do I rolled my back and used the epoxy VHT to protect the scratched surfaces from rust.

  3. I'm glad you did it in the shop , that's what most of us can only afford and personally the feeling if doing it yourself is the best. Keep it up Mickey!

  4. I have a question. I bought a 2000 Firebird and well the engine went out on me on the way home. It knocks really really bad, my uncle said it had some white smoke before the last time I left on the side of the road. It still starts and runs just has that bad knocking. The radiator is all sludged up because of the DEXCool that chevy requires since it sat for a while. Its a v6 engine and I really want to rebuild the engine as a new engine is 1,500 or more. Would it be worth it to rebuild? Cause I really like the car. The interior isnt in very good condition as well it needs alot of repair but as long as it runs I dont mind the interior I can always fix that easily.

  5. The shop needs to buy a blast cabinet you could have cleaned your control arms and brake calipers so easy they have so many types a media for all types of blasting, and Mickey did you know you can get spray cans filled with your paint color if you wanted to keep it the same just FYI.

  6. This is what I love about mickeys content, he shows you that it can be DIY on a budget instead of taking the easy option out and taking it somewhere to get it done!

  7. Paint won't stick. You forgot urathan clear coat has hardener. That enamel shit you used will rub off. Did you sand it? I could scratch it off with my fingernails. Now you need to put newspaper under the car and spray the bay with paint stripper and get that shit off. Need to sand it anyways, might as well repaint it. But i do like how you restored the paint. It looks like a custom red with metal flake, so be hard to match to repaint. I know RX7 was a flat red. My neighbor had a red one. But yours looks nice except that bay. Looks like a 8 year old painted it. And I paint my own body kits. I was using a rattle can painting my yellow Tonka trucks black when I was 8. You amuse me!

  8. Mickey without a doubt you need to do the parts in the engine bay the same res as the colour of the car that would go so nice with the black
