Our ride of the week is a Pro Street ’61 Belvedere from Tony Netzel. He bought the car back in 1994 from a junkyard in North Dakota. It’s been on the road in a couple different versions. He tore the car apart in the winter of 1998 with big plans…it took 17 years of work to get it to what you see now. The car has a 496 cubic inch Chrysler big block with two 64mm turbos and two 450 Holley carbs going into a set of 1961 long ram intakes.
The engine makes 700 horsepower and 900+ torque. The car was built to be a very fun, drivable, mild hotrod that would run cool and be reliable while grabbing attention. Since its completion in March 2015, he’s put over 7,000 miles on it.
