The Holley Sweepstake has ended but find more sweepstakes here: https://www.powernationtv.com/giveaways
I'm assuming you started with a 351 W, but which one?
Also, which eagle crank and rods did you run?
Gow can any normal man need SO many pens and shit? Professor Pat is nerding out greatly here… 😂 Nice engine tho. I would love to wind this down for torque and drop it in my '75 F350.
Must be ford blue in a alternate universe?
they make a tool for installing wristpin circlips. using a pick or little screwdriver like you were is for monkeys.
fun fact:
In high rpm/high piston speed engines, the wristpin circlips are installed with gap clocked toward the top or bottom of the piston.
The theory is, that if the criclip has it's gap at, or about, 90 degrees in relation to the wristpin boss, it's possible for the circlip to compress under it's own inertia as the piston hits TDC/BDC, potentially compressing enough to pop out of it's groove.
I'd pull goosenecks with it lol.
Cost breakdown??
302 351 Most reliable engine ever driven and Ive owned them all.
Put the cam in before the crank so you can support it,dont paint the dist base surface, and make sure you dont use silicone on the intake ports or any place it exposed to gas they dont go good together prime the oil pump with a socket on your speed bar when you put the timing cover lighty push the dampner on that will assure the seal is concentric to the crank I usually knock out the cam brgs so the passages going down to the crank are spotless the color is call ford corparate blue great job guys great attention to detail just love your show wow the sound of that beast is great I'm out with a bad back love the entertainment hope to see.more😊😊
Cool
I wonder what this would run on E85?
how much did the build cost?? and what transmission did you use for it? im looking into doing this exact build on my 1979 f-150
question, where did you get your header adapters?
what is pound inches. work on aircraft for 35 plus years and its called inch pounds…
Check out kaase p38 heads on a stock 302 ford
Nice
This engine would look very nice in a 01-04 mustang gt. That would be a cold setup.
Beauty build! What color code blue is that you used?
29.31
Those matco ratcheting wrenches are so nice. I absolutely love them.
I’d love to swap this in to my 2005 Lincoln town car
Should of gone 12:1 compression on e85.
Why not a solid roller street cam xr292r by comp. Big power and made for street.
Holley Terminator made my 68 mustang 438windsor street car a 9sec car
Kinda ironic them making it look like an Ls when the Ls is based off some of the design from a Windsor
I'll love to see it on e85
Now change the cam for one with a lot less lsa and see how much power you left on the table with that 112 degree junk 😅
I think that intake manifold a throttle body would pair well with a pro charger!
Just curious, have you run Pat's pocket protector on the dyno? Looks like it could pull some good rpms/torque/hp……LOL! Those AFR heads are a work of art.
I bet that motor cost $10,000 too rich for but I do enjoy the shows
I dig it. But that’s also like 6 grand or more in electronics for that engine. So somewhat unrealistic for us budget builders. Still awesome to see tech integrated so well with excellent results
39:58 new ringtone
that is the #2 cylinder !!!!!!
on old Ford Windsor Blocks, the odd number cylinders are on the Driver’s side of the block and the even number cylinders are on the Passenger side of the block !!!!!
Theee episodes ate just so damn over the top, thay are always building the most expensive engines ive evwr seen, normal people could nowever afford that. It is cool to see what could be done but sadly i got to stick to the craigslist rebuild
Have a question…..high fiving the roof
What's the benefits of having a floating wrist pin?
Being a want to be a mechanic.
When you use an impact, be able to use a 1/4 extension to show low hit, please.
What is the actual compression with that dished piston?
Windsors don't get the credit they deserve. Great power from this engine. Imagine what that beast would've done with more cubes.
I hope that "gallery" bit wasn't a cheap jab at Mike Galley… miss you, Mike… they shouldn't have replaced you with Frenchy… he's not so bad, but not Mike…
Love it👏👏👏👏👍
I'm wondering if the heads are slightly too big for that engine size and compression ratio? I think with a 210 or 200 runner head, the same numbers could be achieved.
I'm in the process of doing a build like this with the same heads, and after watching this, I'm going to go with at least a 427, and I believe 600 plus hp with be achieved at the same compression with a very similar camshaft profile. Great show, guys, and keep the good work up. 👏
Why was a 114" lsa chosen?
Nice build i think i weel try that build
At first run I was like, all that for just 400HP!
Im ford guy but im not impressed with all the expensive add onn and up grades for no more power it made ..ive seen them get the same or similar results out of just plain carburetor engine.
