Who even wants these cars, what a pain, nobody gives a rat's ass, if saw it go down the road. SUV and trucks , way better deal and useful, and etter looking.
Great guide. Thanks Mate
@16:14 you had me at “10mm”
Who actually has one when they need it?
should have kept an automatic….or learn how to drive a stick
NICE LSC SHIRT!
The piiza car looks neglected… 😢
A glimpse of the Samino's Pizza car at the end, it's looking rough these days.
You and Scott are the Ferrari dream team! Keep up the great work..
So with all these problems he bought two others a green one and a blue one. What's that they say about the definition of insanity?
I just don't get the Ferrari love.
Yes they are pretty cars. That is literally all they are. Italian engineering nightmare.
are you jewish?
Nice fix especially with all those F1 issues
"this has been my go to cleaner as of lately because they are paying me to say that"
6 years have passed. I have grown old with this channel. Love cars
What the hell happened to the pizza car!?!?
Road Trip Coming Up Soon?
Gated shifters crack me up. A gated shifter means the trans is so bad they put a plate on the shifter so you can find the gear.
national backorder means you arent getting it. Seems like nowadays for years now cars that are still relatively new, dont have parts or limited parts. There use to be , back in the day if X amount of cars were produced then X amount of parts are produced. Now? i don't call 13 years old ancient. Heck, i can get parts for some of the cars i that go back into the early 90's and late 80's. Not all but a lot of the parts.
The shoddy workmanship of Ferrari never ceases to amaze me. The casting for the gearbox housing seems really poorly finished.
The F1 system is not flawed. It's amazing and very reliable. The problem is when small issues are misdiagnosed and techs throw thousands of dollars in parts at them to fix them, causing the owners to hate F1s and Ferraris in general.
For example, you said in this vid that there are "6 solenoids, one for each gear." WRONG. That's not how the system works. There are 3 selection, 2 engagement and 1 clutch solenoid with each gear firing two EV solenoids at a time to move the actuator tooth in the two directions needed to choose a gear. This is what makes diagnosing gear problems so easy on F1 cars – depending on the code and behavior, you can pinpoint the trouble spot. But, without this elementary knowledge, techs simply assume the problem is major and quote absorbant repair costs.
Finally, I know the manual conversion are the newest rage, but none of these kits have any long term testing. I have driven various F1 equipped cars well over 130K miles with original components, so I put my trust in the areas where I have experience.
Buying a manual kit to convert is not the problem, it's buying the ferrari to do it on!? Seriously Sam, maybe buy and fix something that almost anyone can buy. Next thing maybe get a Bugatti like other youtubers that are lost and have completely forgot the audience that help build them. Maybe fix something cool that isn't a super car. I really hope you are not to far gone. I still have respect for you. Thanks for a very informative video that nobody will use to actually convert anything😢
Nice video. Finally someone who doesn't convert a car to a stupid automatic. To me you just made this car worth something. I'd take it in a second myself. I loved my spyder when it was running decently and drove it from Indiana to Florida a few times and back without anything wrong. But at the end of the day I'm a German car guy for the most part. Even though I have an alfa sitting in my driveway lol
Never get rid of the 360 sam. That thing is the gift that keeps on giving.
ooohhh nooooo, the domino's car is rottening . why not clean it and give it away to some subscriber that will take good care of it…..😮
now that I think about it, this is the only time I have ever seen Sac clean one of his cars…😮😮😅
Sam can fixed any thing
I shiver when i see automated crap in a car. full manual is always better less points of failure. The more advanced they are the more likely they fail and the more expensive it gets to maintian.
That mineral fluid has a approved alternative pentofluid ehf at least from what I have found with research
I TOTALLY support the manual conversion… I had a friend who had the disastrous SMG set-up on his 03' M3…and it was with teary eyes he saw me driving my rock solid 6 speed M3….but seeing the kit on a table, the whole linkage just looks too " klackety-schnakety"….unstable…? But maybe I'm wrong. Watching your goofy channel ( I'm a fixer/flipper of nice cars myself…) you have me now buying tons of new tools and gizmos ( haven't settled on a higher level OBD tester yet ( I have an average one) but I need one that will do Dealership level adjustments and clearing…but you seem to use a different one every episode…) you are giving me the dangerous confidence to dive into a more exotic car ( Ferrari etc) …God help me…
Must be nice to have a proper gearbox back!
@Vin_tra did that too, it's awesome
What you gonna do with the paddle shifter? It's awkward to see manual shifter with paddle shifters still attached
fill the gas tank to over full will leak
Are you sure you put enough sealant on that? 😮
Was expecting abnormal smoke towards the end. My bad sam 😅
I will never understand this fetishization of manuals.
I’m looking intensely how to turn my Ferrari into a manual on a Ferrari I don’t have
Your stepmoms rear bumper isn't that bad either 😂
👍🏾🤎
Huge improvement
OBSERVATION..i never understood why after all these years, car manufacturers and engineers still cant design and build a car that works and runs without basic wear and tear issues and some of these issues or parts that fail can destroy an engine or transmission.
sam's explaining all the steps as if I would ever get to work on a ferrari… I wish I had this kind of problems…
Be right back, just off to the garage to check if I have A Ferrari with an F1 transmission…
Saving the manuals as DDE say
How is the engine ECU reprogramed
Thanks for sharing and taking us along
I'm proud of you samcrac for converting & driving a manual in the land of automatic gearboxes!
How about the last gears?
So… Can you just remove the F1 shift paddles?
