  10. Mechanical engineer here .. when you get a damaged wheel broken control arm whatever you should also check the wishbones and all other suspension components for damage.. I'm sure you do.. however if they're made of aluminium they need removing and non-destructive testing carried out, as they may have hairline cracks which you can't see, you can buy some penetrat fluid and use that method… but to be honest some proper ultrasonic testing or other nondestructive testing should be carried out by an professional. You don't want to be doing 150mph down the road and get a suspension failure.. any failure is going to happen under hi stresses.. so when you're cornering heavily or even worse cornering heavily at hi speed. This also goes for any other aluminium component which is structural … You can't just heat it up and hammer it flat.. NDT is required.. the components structural integrity needs be confirmed.
